Breaking News from Coles Park

Recommended Posts

Haringey Borough FC learned this evening that, due to both clubs early exit from the FA Vase last Saturday, they will now be entertaining Kentish Town FC in a Spartan South Midlands League Division 1 fixture on Saturday 22 September at 3pm.

Haringey Borough FC have informed me that this match will NOT be all-ticket and that NORMAL MATCHDAY CHARGES will apply. This, I believe, is a sensible step aimed at making Pyramid Step 6 football accessible and affordable for all. However, I have also been verbally informed by the Haringey Borough FC Chairman that a certain individual remains barred from Coles Park and will not be welcome to attend this match. More to follow...(probably!).

I assume you were 'reliably' informed of this last night, so 'Sugar' was actually in attendance then.

Our Secretary will be e-mailing the SSML tomorrow in that case as my understanding is opposing officials are allowed access to the 'boardroom', I'm sure Pat Burns will have something to say about this development and it could have serious repurcussions on the Coles Park Club, they could even be docked points.

Read the first line again!

Yes, but you denied holding any "official" capacity in black and white on the forum only a few days ago and this has been used to inform Mr. Achillea's decision.

You don't go to your team's (or is that teams')games anyway, so what's the problem? Mr Burns is more likely to be upset about KTFC not phoning their result in last night!

I bet 'Sugar' absolutely delighted in that but apparently it's not true and I have been reliably informed that I do hold an 'official' capacity afterall.

Krooner - I couldn't agree more, thanks for your support

Part of me wants to agree with Krooner's sentiments. However, I believe that people must be made to realise that they are firmly accountable for their own actions. Cecils actions on here with his repeated comments and personal opinions about the Haringey Chairman have had a consequence, which is that he is now seemingly banned from Haringey's ground.

You simply cannot have freedom to do as you like and then deny the person you are slagging off that same right.

I am not in disagreement with that Wader but the fact is it plays into Rhodes hands as he can now use that to back up what he says. By not banning him it will show that there is always a way back. As hard as it may be they should specifically invite him there and invite him into the boardroom as well. If Rhodes then chooses not to accept the invitation then he cannot complain that he wasnt asked.

So what about freedom of speech and what 'Sugar' has said about me in the past particularly to the SSML hierarchy, he gives as good as he gets if not more so. Besides if he is this wonderful Solicitor and a budding George Carman why haven't I had my collar felt by the boys in blue by now

I think that inviting clip Rods into the ground after all that he has said about Mr. Achillea would send out the message that it is okay to say such things. Why would anybody want to give that impression?

Clearly Mr. Achillea is a shrewd enough solicitor to realise that there is no point in suing someone who doesn't have a pot to p!ss in and, therefore, forwarding correspondence to the appropriate football authorities and banning him from the ground would appear to be the most effective punishments available for such abhorrent behaviour.

It all seems perfectly sensible to me.

Disagree with the 1st paragraph and half of the 2nd paragraph.

Whatever you say banning Rhodes plays into his hands but by letting him go and even specifically inviting him there to "Discuss their differences" will have the complete opposite effect. You are a shrewd enough man FM to see that.

You've made my point for me. Your right to freedom of speech has led you to slate this man on a public forum, saying what you like, when you like and whenever you like. His right to freedom of speech has led him to defend his position and to have his say to the league. That is his choice, as it was yours to have a very public go at him on here.
