Attendances

If attendances are dropping, what is being done to publicise matches or give incentives to people to attend?

 

The club should speculate to accumulate

 

1) If a child and adult come give them a scarf (cost couple of quid)

 

2) Kids free in October, minimal cost

 

3) Coupons in the local paper for games over chistmas, run in offer 1) cost £200 advert

 

4) give tickets to season ticket holders/members to bring a friend

 

all have been suggested before, but as yet.......

All good ideas to improve attendances.Although i feel the perfomance and entertaiment the team serve up at home will have a greater effect on bringing in more people.Looking at our home form since we became a club,i'm just grateful we still have a harcore of over 200 fans.

A good run in the FA Cup usually does the trick........Anfield in the 4th round here we come then!!!...........Alright Gazza calm down!.......But oh for those heady days of Preston, Chesterfield, Leicester, Torquay, Orient, Cardiff, Barnsley, always good for a bit of promotional coverage!

I do however think we need to get more people into the schools promoting ETFC and I also agree with the "Child gets in Free if accompanied by paying adult" after all its the kids that spend the money, well their parents money anyway.

Good ideas, all worth ago. The scarf thing is an excellent marketing ploy, if they wear it we get the free advertising.

 

I have to say though that I also agree with LS, nothing boosts attendances like success and good football, which in turn generate a good atmosphere and a buzz aroundthe ground. From what I have read over the last two or three seasons the home performances have been pretty dire and with some crude long ball tactics. That will not bring in the crowds.

Have people giving out leaflets in the Town during the week and talking to people about the club.

Find a local empty shop and see if we can hire it at a peppercorn rent for a few days to sell our club.

Ask the Council if we can station someone in the staff canteen to sell our club.

Same with other organisations.

Mind you, who will those people be to do the walking and talking?
