I will try to put to bed the mistake regarding the admission price when we played a pre season friendly a few seasons ago. It was a genuine mistake, which I take responsibilty for. I had told the man on the gate our admission prices for the season and he thought it meant including pre season. I am sorry if anyone paid the extra money on the day, I do hope it doesn't stop you coming to Rookery Hill to support your team. I have a good relationship with Colin, as I played under him at 3 clubs and I enjoy a bit of banter with Karl. I also played for Hornchurch under Keith Newman (although only Harry was our only supporter at the time). Instead of some supporters coming on here and running us down for having no fans and a poor ground etc maybe this will help and you can then give light hearted stick? If you still feel naffed off about it, come and see me personally and I will buy you a beer on the day.

Lee Patterson Manager

thanks for that lee...I am sure its all forgotten and whinge as we do sometimes we shall be there in numbers to support the urchins when the fixture comes around....

you may well need a grand or two on the day for all that free beer tho'.... grin

I don't normally make comment on these type of issues but and a big but, I make you right.

Patto has been a great Manager for ETU over the years, and my first recollection of the good man was when we played a home game at Mayesbrook Park, Barking, yes Barking, as our pitch was not ready due to the council mucking up, yet again, mefinks maybe 7 years ago or so.

Patto played No 5, as Player Manager, but got injured and came off, and we exchanged a few compliments, as they say.

Spencer Fletcher made his debut for HX, and what a great player he was, more of that later, we won the match, I believe, 2 1.

Cheers Patto, you are right in your assumption of the situation, but mefinks the Urchins will come down en masse to support our cause.

One extra question: Why charge for entry into an U18's game against our lads some 18 months ago?

What i don't understand is why the manager is telling the man on gate what the admission prices are. I would have thought he would had enough to worry about.

I must agree with Nutchutney, a free programme for all AFCHX supporters would be a easier way out unless they are going to hand out a free drink when every Hornchurch supporter walks in the bar.
