Hypocrites

Guest Jason Thompson.

I came on here to see if there was any news of interest about the club as official routes are not very informative, however same old same old.

Either you are in the clique where nobody is allowed a non party line opinion, or, you are somebody that wants to stir up the muck.

It is obvious why few fans bother with this forum.Grow up or shut up and get back to talking about the team we are supposed to support.

official routes - BWAHAHAAHAHAHAHA! Oh wait you're serious...

clique - yup, Slough Town is the only team in the entire country where you can't say that you thought a player or players had a bad game because it might hurt their feelings, the poor precious darlings

few fans - well our gates are slowly going down the toilet because the club is owned by a group of idiots who have dragged the name of the club through the mud for the last decade. No wonder no-one bothers coming on here

She vulenteered to help and there was no objection/ no one else to fil the place, so tbh thats also what she gives to the club. And to be honest you cant compare someone who merely has GCSE English to someone who actually writes for a publication. Worlds apart, so to have someone wo actually writes 'copy' would be a useful addition to the club.

You can always tell when we don't a fixture for a couple of weeks as this place turns into a slanging match.

Clearly somebody has an issue with Marcus and Charlie being on the board. For what reason I don't know, but the simple fact is before the last elections they put their hands up to stand for election and became members of the Trust board. Now somebody wants to rubbish them on here. Strange that you are picking on them and not Gary House who also joined the Trust board in the Summer.

The bigger issue of course now will be how they can work with the other Trust board members. Clearly somebody on the board has moaned about them to one of their mates and we have ended up with this pointless thread on the forum. I hope whoever it was will apologise to Marcus and Charlie and do the decent thing and consider their position on the Trust board.

I appoligise to 3spirit if it was not him/her who posted the original on here, however the style is very similar and you can see why I came to this conclusion.

The issue of Anons has raised its head AGAIN and this time it has lead to personal abuse and must lead to the obvious solution of making this site registered only - most sites have gone this way and I appriciate that it only takes a moron to register to still have access - yet this would assist in tracking them and blocking where appropriate.

Marcus, I had wondered if it was our friend Opti too!

I do disagree with you Liam because I have quite freely and openly criticised the team so far this season and named individuals who I do not feel should be involved with the squad. My comments were in no way fettered. On thread I felt had carried on long enough and we had got into an open debate about budgets and I just wondered if maybe that should be left off a public forum

However, I made my criticisms openly and attached my name. The anon who has slagged off Marcus and Charlie is cowardly and totally out of order and not in full receipt of the facts.

I know what you're getting at Martin, but there are some people on here who think that if we even dare criticise anything to do with the team, be it players, management or ownership, then somehow we are not true supporters and should be treated like outcasts. Take the Fleet game for example, I honestly thought I was being kind when I called the team a puddle of drizzling [****!!****] but the attitude by some was "OH NOES, YOU CAN'T SAY THAT ABOUT SLOUGH! THEY'RE TRYING THEIR BESTEST!". Well if I did my job as poorly as they did I'd expect some sort of censurement from someone higher up, not a "well you did your best, better luck next time".

And as for the attacks on Marcus and Charlie, well they just reek of someone who is guarding their own (self-deluded) position of power within the trust board. It's quite pathetic really.

Fair point - but I don't think this forum is particularly harshly moderated. This thread has been allowed to stand for example when it must be fairly close to breaching the rules. But in fairness Marcus and Charlie have eloquently responded and deserve great credit for their reaction.

over 40 years service here - I have a PHD if its any good to you,its a doctorate in History gained at Cambridge-but then I usually keep those kinda details to myself( but i still found time to lay the concrete terracing) and you are wrong there are many gifted people who can write letters and articles to a publication to advertise our club's plight.Sadly like one or two others on here especially a guy called Matt. you are confusing me with the person who attacked you for being on the trust-I care not whose on or off the trust.
By the way, having digested your post I have found a hat that might just be big enough for your head. Also have you not heard that over the last 20yrs or so A and O levels are so easy to obtain now.

Anon, i am not confusing you with the original Anon, i was merely stating that I feel we are more than 'qualified' to be on the board. I also did not say that other people could not right letters, i merely stated that Charlie can right 'Copy' IE Journalistic writing because of her job. I'm sure there are many people who can write letters, but were they forthcoming when the trust elections were called? With your PHD surely you would be a useul member of the board, why did you not stand?

I have great respect for those who actually helped build Wexham Park as i spent many a happy day there as a young kid, so for that my hats off.

And at no point was I arrogant or 'bigging myself up' Re: 'Big enough for your head' comment, i was merely stating the qualifications Charlie and i bring to the board, as they had previously been called into question. I hope this is enough anon number 2.

Yes I agree that A and O levels (or equivalent) Have become easier to obtain a higher grade in recently.

But, for the record, its a lot harder to get into Oxford or Cambridge now.

Oh for heaven's sake. Enough is enough. This thread was started by someone who clearly took umbrage with Marcus and I - we've both answered their allegations, that should now be an end to it.

40 years service - i answered your question honestly, so that should be the end of that too.

Can we please just stop all this inhouse bickering and concentrate on the club from here on in?

Well the name attached to your post is 'Anonymous'. The name attached to the first post in this thread is 'Anonymous'. Without access to the moderating facilities, and therefore being unable to differentiate between users due to tracking the ISPs they use, we have to assume that all anonymous posters are the same person. So if you don't want to be lumped in with every single anonymous [****!!****]-stirrer I suggest you either register an account, or put a name to your posts and stop crying when someone accuses you of something you didn't do.

Typical. Have a family crisis, miss a win, go on holiday, get an internet cafe that has the worlds slowest connection, and see world war three has broken out. Will this happen everytime I miss a game.

For starters, seeing the facts are so far out regarding what was alleged to have been said at the trust meeting, I reckon it isn't a trust member who is anon, sounds more like, he has mentioned something in trust, and it has gone through the 'fantastic' grapevine that is slough? Chinese whispers.

Sounds to me like some one who wanted to moan without checking any facts, or worried about any consequences.

I'm no Jessica Fletcher, but , most regular supporters, even those like me and my mates, who have said hello to you now and again, but arent bestest friends(if that makes sense) , know at least one of you, and I doubt if anyone one on the trust, now or in the past would write something like that. I had a greivance with the treatment Daly got at Marlow, and Discussed this with Martin and Jenny and Paulton. Martin and I have discussed the treatment woody has received on this forum, we've both done this in an adult (?) fashion. Some people are not capable of this.

So in My Jessica Fletcher brain wave, I reckon, it is some arshe, (probably not even a true supporter, or a trust member) just trying to stir up crap between supporters and the Trust(sound familiar?).

Bugger me it worked!!!

I think Marcus and Charlie should both wipe it from their minds, as we all should, and carry on as normal, and stick two fingers up at anon!

Time to block the anons?
