They shout garbage at games, come on here, talk bollux on here as well, and then change thier minds and say other stuff. Or criticise others opinions.Shout abuse at players..........marlow, fleet............then moan about performances when they weren't there. paultan. Then come on hear saying we should all back the team?!?!?!

Why have they joined the trust. they didn't even bother to turn up and help in the high street the other month at the start of the season.(Buying a dress?!!!?) Now I hear at the trust meeting they seemed to just want stuff. sponsrship for the women side(which is not a bad thing, but why ask the trust? which is fot the mens team, not the womens,) and reductions at the club shop. Glad my kids are not at his school!

******* and ******.think before you speak!

I'm anon because if you're not part of the Great Ones gang, you are not allowed an opinion!

Ok, seeing as some of this is clearly directed at me, I will answer some of your unfounded accusations.

I joined the Trust originally because I care deeply about this club and its future. I wanted to donate my money to a cause where, should the worst happen and the club collapses, it was in place to keep the name of STFC going. I put myself forward for the board this year because I wanted to offer the Trust my skills as a journalist so that communications can improve between the Trust, the club and its supporters. As I write this, I'm drafting the first letter from the Trust to its members which, providing everyone on the board agrees to it, should be out soon.

I wanted to be there to help hand out leaflets before the start of the season but I was otherwise engaged buying a dress - this dress happens to be my wedding dress and due to my working hours I can only do this on a Saturday. As anyone who's ever bought a wedding dress in London can confirm, you have to book these appointments weeks in advance and as such, I booked it before learning of the plans to go and hand out leaflets in the High Street.

Not that I should have to justify myself to someone who refuses to name themselves, but I have been to the leaflet drops for the past four years, as well as going out of my way to deliver sponsorship request forms this week and walking to Hampton at the end of last season.

On to your next point. I have NOT requested sponsorship for the ladies' team. Far from it. The ladies team has already secured sponsorhip for themselves and even if they hadn't, they have a financial committee in place to sort that out without my help. All I asked for was whether those gathered would be willing to sponsor me personally as my friends, NOT as board members and certainly not as a Trust movement.

If you still have reservations about me being on the Trust board, or about my passion and pride for this club, I suggest you come and speak to me personally at the next game. You clearly seem to think you know who I am, so finding me won't be a problem will it?

Many thanks for that Anon, no i ddint go to PAULTON and therefore did not comment on the performace at all personally.. i belive all i said was a text that i recieved from someone there, apologies and all, and i feel i have never unfairly criticised anyone on the team and is always one fo the first to try and get chants going/ get people behind the team. Charlie personally has spent many hours trying to get moeny together for the club and has been signed up to the charity part of the trust despite having a job that means she ends up leaving the house at 7 and not returning til gone 7 pm, and THEN goes to meetings to try and raise money for the club. I will happily take abuse but i think any levelled at Charlie is grossly unfair as she has put many hours into this club, time which i persoanlly dont think she can spare.

OK ANON- I am more than willing for you to take my place on the trust board if you so desire. See me for more details.

Hypocrite - somebody who moans about Trust board members but doesn't bother to stand for election themselves.

I'm watching this thread carefully. Neither Marcus nor Charlie deserve this anonymous abuse but as they have both responded to the original comments I am keeping this thread alive for the timebeing so people can read their replies.

We need all sorts of different skills and views on the trust board. From memory I nominated Charlie for board membership, and I did this because she has skills that the trust (and the club)need.

That is in no way knocking what has been done in the past (and is still being done),I just think that new things need to be done as well as the more traditional things.

Build on what the trust has done and is still doing, but fresh ideas are needed to add to the current ones, not replace them, and don't forget we are all on the same side even if we have different priorities, and different skills to offer.

Also, at the Trust meeting 'where we WANTED REDUCTIONS' i merely stated that i thought that it seemed wrong that trust members didnt get a discount on the new away kit when the had effectively already paid for it with their sponsorship, I did not forward this as a motion and merely said it seemed a little wrong that those that had been pumping hundreds in to the trust (which paid for these shirts- then effectively rebought them)- sorry just noticed that bit and remembered; it seems anon that whoever at the trust has been telling you exactly what was going on there (Something which Charlie and I aas new members were told was frowned upon) Not only breaks the rules of the trust about meetings being kept secret until the minutes are agreed, but cannot seem to even remember what was said. Worrying.

You Slow fans are a funny lot. You have something to cheer about for the first time in ages and yet decide to moan and kick up a fuss about something else out of the blue!

P.S Anon- If you aint worked out football fans are a fickle bunch yet you never will!

As a life long supporter ( all most 40yrs now)I would be interested to know what skills Miss Charlie T. brings to the table, that the football club gain from. You said that you use your journalistic skills-are you a journalist then-can I inquire which newspaper-the only reason I ask is not to have a dig at you,but to wonder if you could not get the team a much higher profile in our cause to survive and have our own ground.

Yup, have to say right now that i am overjoyed to have offered my time and effort, including spending til nearly midnight in a meeting the other day coming straight from work. Also the countless thousands i have spent supporting the club in the last 17 years.

It really is very rewarding.

hypocrite - a person who professes beliefs and opinions that he or she does not hold in order to conceal his or her real feelings or motives.

I have no idea what our hidden motives are? If someone wishes to inform me feel free.

Oh I do love idiots-go to the old ground in Wexham park and see all the concrete terracing, which we laid for free at every spare moment.
Though your name isn't Charlie,my question to her stands.
