Brightside Blokes £1,000 Target! THANK YOU BTFC

Saturday 8th September saw the 19th Great River Race take place on the Thames. The race is a gruelling 22 miles long and is the rowing equivalent of the London Marathon, attracting the experienced racer and the fun rower alike.

 

My crew, comprising of six rowers, one cox and one passenger, competed in a 34ft long Thames Waterman Cutter. We completed the race in 2 hours and 41 minutes, 10 minutes quicker than our time last year and were 38th fastest out of 283 boats.

 

Thanks to Gift Aid, The kind people of BTFC and this Forum we cracked the £1,000 total that we were aiming to raise,
