Interesting, though a little sad for him that he fell on his sword after 5 out of 6 defeats.

Failure against Kiddies, then defeat in 2 tough away games against Burton and Exeter will surely have people from some quarters asking serious questions of our management.

I remain on the fence. It is still early in the season, and LD has yet to put out his "best" side.

Failure to improve things by Christmas - well, I might make a decision then.

In some ways I feel rather sorry for Jepson. He was under pressure from day 1 of this season with their prat of a chairman being quoted as saying that "anything other than promotion would be unacceptable" (or something like that). That after a season like last when they only just avoided the drop.

Do I hear Hessenthaler coming over the hill as the cavalry?

I wonder what odds you would get for Gillingham being in the Blue Square Conference within two seasons ??

I am disappointed CG.....you ? on the fence ? Surely not ?
You accused me of "sitting" on the fence last season !! Pots, kettles...whatever !!

You must be getting old.....whatever old is !!

Cheers,

Don't have an issue by being undecided at the moment, Hirsty. We all agree LD has had rotten luck with injuries this season, which has prevented him what he perceives is his best side.

That said most of those injuries are to defensive or midfielders, whereas our problems, in LD's own words are with the forward line.

I am hopeful of ay least a draw against Kiddies, but I reckon Burton and Exeter pose big problems.

If we lose all 3, that would make 6 in a row, which, whether you are manager of a Premiership side or Springfleet Albion heaps the pressure on.

Saturday is a must win game.
