It was the second highest on the day which is not bad considering that there was international football on telly directly after the game.

Dartford and Canvey still maintain their lack of travelling support so you could hardly expect Bury to bring down hordes of fans. Canvey barely got 100 at Waltham Abbey and only 80 at a midweek game at Waltham Forest.

I dont think so.

Surely our crowd budget should be the same as last year.

Ilford 2006/7 248 2007/8 255

Sudbury2006/7 257 2007/8 303

Bury 2006/7 249 2007/8 225

Total 2006/7 754 2007/8 793

But as I said earlier there was an internationsl on terrestial TV at 5:00 for the Bury game what do you expect.

However after the first 3 home games last season we had 1169 through the turnstiles but those games were against, Hornchurch, Enfield and Sudbury. It seems that Sudbury is a good comparison when we got over 50 more spectators this year. (But I know Sudbury was on a Tuesday evening)

There you go you can prove anything with statistics.

I personally think that keeping a consistant level of support through two failed play-off campaigns and quite a few seasons of poor home form ,is to be applauded. My worry is turning a regular 250 into a regular 350-400.I'd be much more confident of achieving that kind of figure at a redeveloped QE stadium, than at Brimsdown.

What is particularly worrying this year is that we have lost Hornchurch and Enfield and these have been replaced with

Dartford - who dont seem to have much travelling support and Brentwood - Ditto

It will be interesting to see how many turn up for the Edgware game in a couple of weeks. Definite local derby and Edgware have had a good start to the campaign.

They have had more people attending their away matches than their home matches! An average of around 100 for their three matches against Waltham Abbey, Potters Bar and Wivenhoe. However only 67 went to Potters Bar.

Well we dont play Dartford until mid March so if they have improved and are there or thereabouts at the top along with ourselves then they could quite possibly bring a fair few of there large home crowd to us.

If this is to be the case we could well get a nice crowd of 500+
