It tells me that you made it acceptable for SSMFL Div 1 football, not Ryman Premier - a totally different proposition. Now answer the question - what WAS the gate figure you tried to report (you can't have forgotten it already).

Your big number 10, Donaghue I think his name is, was bloody awful if truth be told. He blasted over the bar, wide and into the park on at least 3 occasions when he should really have hit the target.

The first half was a bit boring but the 2nd half, I'm afraid we made you look very ordinary old boy!! It was the right result Rhodes and you'll find most agreeing with me that, particularly in the 2nd half, Hoddesdon played Kentish off the park.

The only man who didn't let you down was the always industrious Looney. The rest of them should hang their heads in shame at a performance that was well below what we have come to expect from KTFC.

Of course, had you attended the game you wouldn't need eye witness accounts from me and the others. I know it was a big day for you at the new ground but surely a man who constantly bangs the drum with regards to turning out and supporting your team would be expected to be present when his 'first team' are playing in such an esteemed competition as the FA Vase!! Even I managed to sneak away from the golf course to catch the game Rhodes!!

And besides, you owe me a drink!!!!!!!!

ah but you still haven't revealed the actual number. We only know its somewhere between 1 (you) and 9500 (the ground capacity you stated)

Yes but there was something sinister going on in the corridors of power at Coles Park and no doubt still is, they don't want progress or publicity in any way shape or form and that was the reason I was unceremoniously shown the door. I have just got 4k out of Arsenal for example and their agreement to a Community partnership but if that was Haringey and 'Sugar' had known about it he would have said he wasn't the slightest bit interested. I rest my case.

Thank God I said something positive about you mate!! Didn't realise you were a frequenter of this forum.

 

I've seen you play a few times now and you've always stood out in the Kentish team (a, cos you're not a bad player and b, cos you're bleedin ugly! Haha! Just kiddin!)

 

Over at Hoddesdon, we are always on the look out for talent and if you ever fancy joining the revolution.....(and yes Rhodes, that WAS an illegal approach!)

 

Yeah, the first half was a bit like the abandoned league game the previous week. Cagey and could have gone either way but by full time I think Hoddesdon were good value for the win. Having said that, we've got a right bloody mission to the middle of nowhere in the next round!

 

Who is your skipper by the way? He had us all in hysterics in the stand with the way he was ranting and raving at the ref! Actually, I assume he was the skipper cos he was the only one wearing an armband but it looked like it was made out of a manky old bandage!! Rhodes, you wanna spend some of that 4k on a new captains armband mate!!! Oh, and some shooting boots for the big number 10!

 

God, I'm going to get lynched at The Copthall........

Actually, I might give it a miss then, as I am a bit put off by the decision to make certain games all ticket. The last thing I want to do is travel all that way only to be refused entry and then have to explain to my sobbing, teary eyed, warm cheeked 8 year old son that we cannot watch the football tonight....

 

(....I don't have a son but you take my point...)
