Great win vs Buckingham Athletic, especially as they have started well in Division One. Had a right nightmare with the programme, my printer decided to give up the ghost, and after trying to fix it for three hours last night I had to eventually concede defeat. Got up first thing this morning and got hold of another printer and finally got it finished at 11.30, and Luton's game kicked off at 12! I just made it there to see Bristol Rovers take a goal lead frown

Hopefully we can continue our good form with a win in the Anagram Record Semi-Final next week though we face a tough trip to a White Ensign side that have reached the last two finals.

It's definitely on Wednesday evening, had we drawn today at Hoddesdon the replay would have taken precedence over the London Senior Cup tie and been on Wednesday, I gather Hoddesdon got away with blue murder today.

We'll see what Jonno, NeutralFan and Tourboy have to say when they come on later, they will no doubt confess that we missed a hatful of good chances before they scored and had them on the rack for long periods.

Good Win for the Bury yesterday, went 3-0 up and Spencer had player sent off. lost concentration for 15mins and they had got 2 goals back but we created alot of chances and played well. A couple of signings and we wil have a strong side.

No sadly I wasn't, I was at the Copthall Stadium for our first ever match there, it was like the Queen's Golden Jubilee, New Years Eve 1999, VE Day and 30 July 1966 all rolled into one and multiplied by ten.

When I tried to report the crowd figure to Jim Bean after the game he said there was no need for Reserve fixtures, the same with the goalscorers which will save stand in Secretaries a lot of trouble.

what was the crowd figure rhodes..based on your post above

"No sadly I wasn't, I was at the Copthall Stadium for our first ever match there, it was like the Queen's Golden Jubilee, New Years Eve 1999, VE Day and 30 July 1966 all rolled into one and multiplied by ten"

then I would estimate it to be approximately 100 million!

No it wasn't that many, the capacity of the Copthall Stadium is only 9,500 however it was an amazing spectacle to see the beautiful game being played at such a historic sporting venue for the first time since anybody could remember.

doesn't answer my question rhodes....unsurprisingly. And spare me the unnecesary rhetoric I don't need it.

I also see Copthall Stadium opened in 1964 which makes it younger than some of the other grounds in the league none of which are considered by their host clubs to be historic. it also has a capacity of 9999 (499 seated) does that mean your games are all standing then?

Football Man - Exactly, we are the first Club to play the beautiful game at the Copthall Stadium for over ten years despite Barnet and Hendon trying to move heaven and earth in order to do so, what does that tell you about our persistence and negotiating skills.
