Carshalton v AFC Hornchurch

Nutchutney

We could have been 4 up in the first five minutes if we had taken our chances. Proper one on one vs the goalkeepers chances too.

on the bright side we didn't concede, Elliot played a second half blinder as sub for Godders, Andy T showed he ought to be a starter, Purds was welcomed back, Jordan and Danny were excellent and we created lots of quality chances.

On the negative side, we didn't take any.

Rating 6/10 and we need to remember how to win.

We should of won.I am really dissapointed we didn't as we played superb football for the first 20 mins and if we had been 3-0 up carshalton would not of complained but we missed chances and then i think we become complacent because i think the players thought we would just eventually score, because i thought we would. Then suddenly we just didn't look dangerous after that. Was a strange game.

Carshalton had more posession second half but they in all honesty never looked like scoring, but nor did we which is annoying because we know how good we can play at times.

agree, we should have totally gone mental and scored 3 in the opening 15 or so. from the off, we seemed so up for it and created chance after chance. but if they don't come off, it gets more difficult for the team to keep on creating.. carshalton got wise to each trick and didn't fall for the same one twice. their no.5 was immense today, motm imo. however, their no.3 was absolute spurs. maybe we should have concentrated down the right flank instead of the left today, but wtf do i know, there is a reason i'm behind the goal instead of on the pitch or in the dugout...

their manager was a squeaky chipmunk tart though, but fair play to him for confronting me in the bar and trying to put on a deep voice. hahaha.

fact is, a point away from home that we're annoyed with is a point. long way to go yet, and i think the team has superb quality that will see us in and around the play-off places come april.

urchins motm imo was crossy. the bloke is a fckn legend.

i think they should of carried on playing as they did first 20 mins.I think for a while a couple of players started showboating instead of doing the simple things, then the game got harder as carshalton gained more confidence.Had we of scored early on i honesty think we would of won the game quite easily.

just read the match report in the non league paper and while all the stats etc are correct the reporter at the end said that carshalton were unlucky not to win.Now while they had all the possession in the second half and were pressing and having the occassional shot on target they never ever looked like scoring. The shots they had were from 25 yards etc and never looked like scoring from any of them. The only team that looked capable of scoring was us in the first twenty.
