Ollie is suspended today Tony/Do you maybe mean Warren

No its Ollie Ian.I didn't mean from playing.I know his boss from work & he says he is in plaster(leg),from previous injury I presume.
Like I said too you don't need him.I always said East Thurrock aren't as good as they are seeming but still a good result for you.Lets take nothing away from your performance today.

Now lets keep the home form running. Chelmo one of the favourites and we draw against them, Horsham arrive top and we beat them and next Hendon who are top, so another lets keep it going, "Fortress Hartsdown" is needed this season.

Well I'm certainly not going to doubt you Tony.I was merely mentioning what his boss told me today.I must say it surprised me when he told me as it hadn't been mentioned anywhere as far as I know..He's obviously got it wrong then & I'll correct him when I see him tomorrow. Thanks for clearing that up so precisely.

Getting back to talking about Margate and not that other lot you may all be interested to know that the ref today was the one who had that infamous game at H&R last season when he sent off Skinns and Macca.

You will no doubt be glad to hear that his performance was inept as last time. You can swaear at him, be late in the tackle and not even get booked but........... well I will leave the rest to you.

I thought we looked today what we are-a mid -table side.

That is not a criticism.Simply-we are what we are;and certainly 2/3 players short of a play-off side.

To be fair, Haworth would make a big difference, but we were very poor in midfield today, although looked a bit better when we went 4-3-3 towards the end and Jackson,McKimm and Saunders played closer together in the middle.

Saunders wide is a waste, and Standen and Mckimm on their own in midfield are'nt enough for us to control the midfield.

No disgrace this seasonm in being a mid table side-just pray we have some good cup runs to keep the juices flowing.

Draw probably a fair result.Staines marginally better in first half and Gate marginally better in second.

Most refs would have disallowed the goal for a foul on SCS(although Margate did not complain much)and really Scott should not have been beaten to the ball by a smaller player !!

No -one really shone today.Arguably Harte was our best player, although MCkimm after an average first half,,played preety good in second half.Skinner played well, but lucky to stay on the pitch.

Young and Smith looked good at times, but a bit average at others-i guess thats what you get with younger players in critical positions still learning.

Not a bad result just the same, and expectations are'nt too high this season.

Calm down everyone. My fault possibly for bringing up the injury of Ollie Shultz. A player maybe for the opposition but a player most of us were hoping would change colours at the beginning of the season..I think it was more about THE/A player rather than the Red team itself, though they DID seem to have a good day over there & as much as it hurts me to say it they should be congratulated on that result. Besides they have after all done us a big favour really today if only they knew it wink .

They may be above us for another fortnight but they know,we know, its only lent. laugh

To be fair,Tony was only replying to my posts.Maybe I should have put the damn subject on the Rams forum but I thought it might make interesting reading to us over here also. How wrong was I?

Is there any chance that we could all get along regardless of personal likes & dislikes, because thats what this is all about, not about the content.Come on now lets be nice now & can we not debate ANY subject without all this unecessary sniping.
