HORNCHURCH missed out on the chance to take over the leadership of the Ryman League Premier Division in midweek.

 

Urchins slipped to a 3-1 defeat at Hendon, who took over instead from East Thurrock at the top, but manager Colin McBride is hoping it proves only a temporary blip.

 

McBride takes his side to Carshalton, who have collected just five points from their opening six games, tomorrow (Saturday).
