Harrow V The Blues

It was a poor result and a poor performance from us yesterday. For me the most disappointing feature was that we all knew exactly how Harrow would play and where their threats would come from, yet we did not or could not negate them. It's still only one defeat though, so there's no point going too overboard about it. I am sure that the players will seek to put it right next week.

 

There's now a two week gap before we play our next league game and maybe that's a chance to look at areas we can strenghten our squad. It's clear that Gameo's injury has been a big blow to our squad and my view is that it's been magnified by the poor form of the right half of our midfield. I did notice we had a new lad on the bench on Saturday, does anyone have any info about him at all?

 

Last season one of our major positives was our "bouncebackability". I'm sure we'll be better on Saturday.

Certainly was not one of our best performances, but it happens during the course of a season. The most pressing issue is how we bounce back from this slip. One thing i have to say is the sportsmanship this club shows....Halftime we are 3-0 down....Announcement come over tannoy "urgently requiring a fully qualified ref" - Now if no-one from the blues camp had stepped forward then game abandoned ?? - Great sportsmanship and i think Harrow really appreciated it - Well Done (you know who you are)

 

Also a kind word to the 3 Harrow fans outside their bar - Nice chat and i loved the enthusiasm they showed especially the comment of "well all 10 of us loved our win at AFC the other week" - Good luck to you lads ! But obviously not at our place! I'll search you out if you come to our place and buy yer a beer!

 

So lads, a blip of a performance - but that don't make you a bad team - Bounce back for yourselves - the management - And the Blue Army !

 

Finally, i have a canny feeling i bumped into the W.G.C. spotter!
