Well done to Enfield Town reserves last night who beat Maldon Town reserves 7 – 0 at their place. What a way to start the Capital League season!

From www.etfc.co.uk the players who scored were Andy Edmunds (x3) with the other goals coming from Matt Mitchell, Michael Lyons, Sosthene Guei and Jack Chandler. I expect the report will be up their soon.

Yes, i think we have some really talented youngsters vying for first team places (such as Edmunds,Lyons,Carroll).Its down to Jim to find a balance between keeping them happy at the club whilst they are not in the first team,and then gradually over time bring them into the starting 11).In the past.i don't think we have done enough to keep young talented players at the club.

My little bro scored last night, max mitchell! He hates being called matt..so keep calling him it.lol

He's 17 and loves playing for the town, he is the captain of the u 18's and tells me that all the youngsters like playing for the club, i play in the sparten league for broxbourne borough and i believe that the capital league that the youngsters play in is as good, if not better then the standard of the sparten league so as long as the club continue in that league you will continue to get alot of good youngsters through the ranks, its then up to the 1st team manager to put them in wen he feels they are ready!

Yes.Since we were formed we have had a hatfull of promising players coming into the club.Most obviously wern't able to command a regular place in the starting 11 straight away,and as such,quickly left the club.Whether that has been down to Jims attitude towards players on the fringes,or simply the fact that we didn't have a proper reserve set-up in the past.Whichever the reason, i hope now with the reserves in a strong league,we can hold on to propomsing players until they are ready to make the first team.
