Godalming Town F.C.

Ground Address; Weycourt, Meadrow, Godalming, Surrey, GU7 3JE.

Club Office Telephone; 01483 417 520

Entrance Costs; £7.00 Adults £4.00 OAP’s £3.00 Children under 16

Colours; Home Yellow/Green Away Red/Whte

Website; www.godalmingtownfc.co.uk

Food in the Ground; The Oven Door as it is called serves excellent food and shouldn’t be missed.

Clubhouse; Something you might find in Delboy & Rodney’s flat perhaps. Very 70’s boozer type. But still nice and warm at half time.

How do you get there; Jump on the M25 and leave at J10 following the A3 signs to Guildford. When the A3 meets the A320 turn left (onto the A320) and head South. Turn right onto York Road then left at the next roundabout onto Onslow Road, this is the A3100. Pass the Manor Inn on the left and then the petrol station on the right. Wey Court is 50 yards further along the road on the right hand side

Parking; Is available but not within the ground. Use the car park next to the ground (public car park) or park down a side street.

Can I get the train; Yes, Slough to Reading, Reading to Farncombe. They run fairly frequently, just check South West Trains. Fare will be around £12.00 return.

A very easy 1/2 a mile walk from Farncombe station. Exit the station from Platform 2. Turn right at the bottom of the station's entrance. Then turn left down St Johns Street. At the church, turn left along the alleyway. Follow this path all the way to the main road. Here you will find the Leathern Bottle Pub on the right and Wey Court on the left.

Worth a stopover; No, close enough not to have to.

Pubs & Places to Eat; The Freeholders is in the middle of Farncombe. It’s nice, small has a pool table and SKY TV. The Leathern Bottle is right next to the ground and is described as “quaint”. Has SKY on a small screen and serves reasonable food. Probably your best bet. The alternative for those wanting a proper posh dinner would be The Manor Inn. This is a restaurant with a bar, not a pub with food!

There are engineering works between Riverside and Staines. Best bet is to get the 09:02 from Central, change at Slough, Reading & Guildford. You should arrive at 10.57, if your really lucky there will be a pub near the station.

Ian, Mick, Nobby & co are on the train. I may give England a swerve and partake in some away day action myself.

If you're going via Guildford there's a cafe next to the cricket ground that does the biggest breakfast you're ever likely to come across, even I couldn't finish it!

The Leathern Bottle pub next to the ground does fairly decent [if plain] food. They also do a bloody good brekkie at 7am for us fishermen but you won't be there that early.
