Just been looking at the table as it stands after this weeks mid-week results.

 

We're the only unbeaten side in the league.

We're joint top scoreres in the league.

And we've the least goals against in the league.

After 6 games we are 5 points up, 10 goals up, and have conceded 4 less goals than we did last season, can't ask for more than that.

Good start indeed, but you do have to bear in mind that you DID have an indifferent start to last season, whilst your superb run from Christmas onwards will be difficult (but not impossible) to emulate.

Sorry to disappoint BC, but had our second half run have been "superb" we would not have relinquished our position at the top of the table.

Agreed, you fell away a bit at the end (well, apart from the play-off semi final that is), but didn't you have a 17 game run with just one defeat, just before you lost at home To Ramsgate on 31st March?

Lost one at home all season in the league, and conceded just 9 (I think)

I believe we were did go on a long run without losing from around to crhsitmas to around easter

 

It is a very good start so far so good particularly when I left their may have been a hangover from the play off final defeat going into the new season

 

I is also pleasing to see as last season it was the poor start in the first half a dozen games or so that cost vital points that may have seen the team get promoted but personally I feel that if Maldon had not dragged their feet for weeks (or was it months) over Whelps registration his extra quality in the games missed whilst waiting for the dispute surrounding his contract was sorted would of probably seen the side get promoted
