Bookham 1 -1 Epsom & Ewell

Feel gutted this morning as on the overall play felt we should have had all the points.

 

Started well but a the Epsom forwards did course us problems with their pace, thought we shaded the 1st half and went in 1-0, then really should have scored then second but missed plenty of good chances, Epsom got a penalty which saw our center half dismissed for 2 yellows for dissent what a stupid to$$er. Epsom score the pen but we still had great chances to win.

 

Did get to meet RAZZLED07, looks like this !!!

Beat Wembley 1-0

 

Had the better of the 1st half and went 1 up after 17 mins. Had a great chance after 35 when striker 1 on 1 with keeper and all the time in the world but blasted the shot straight at keeper.

 

Wembley 2nd half were better although didnt create too much. Wembers, i think it was him, had a chance in injury time when connecting with a cross but our keeper saved magnificantly right on the line when it was a certain goal.

 

Glad with the 3 points but even more pleased with the clean sheet to be honest!

I love the biased views on football and the fact that we both seemed to have forgotten the chances the oppo had. We were shocking first half and u deserved to go in in front but despite your "great chances to win" which, evidently, I felt were against the run of play, I felt we were alot more in control in the second half.

 

True, your centre half had a mare getting sent off but the rest of your lot defended well after that.

 

As for your sketch, did someone liken that to you when the stinging nettle landed on that solar panel of yours? Some sort of allergic reaction maybe???

LOL, I try to give an honest opinion Rattled, I thought we had the far beter chances, yes you guys did have 2 good chances early on with 1 on 1's and so did we in the second half. And yes Epsom did create chances in the second half so if I could count the chances both sides created we could have had a 7-6 scoreline

 

Yes I do try to forget the chances the oppo have cus normally theres so many I cant remember all of them any way

 

Also with 10 men thought we played you well on the break and should have scored but you will also think the same that you should have won against 10 men

 

I also agree we will always be baised towards our own clubs, thats only natural

OH Yeah and that doggy pen, our guys say it wasn't a peno as your player dived, keeper never touched him they say !!!!

 

Again a baised opinion, From where I was I've seen em given before and not given, Ref was not sure so spoke to the lino who in his opinion thought it was. (the kent)

I managed to get to Meadowbank just before the end of the 1st half, and at the time of the alleged penalty was nearer to to the incident than the referee.

 

My view ? Hmmmm. Don't want to upset me old mate Teffs, but I thought the Bookham keeper was lucky to stay on the pitch !

 

Bookham certainly had and squandered their chances in the second half and I daren't repeat some of the comments being made on the touch-line by some of the Bookham supporters.

 

Nice to know who Rattled is as well.

 

Sorry I couldn't stay very long after the game but I had another appointment at another hostelry to meet an ex DFC player !

It also seems you might be the biggest stingy person going - always turning up just after half time so you don't have to fork out any money, you must have that Scottish blood in you.

Hmm, I reckon a draw was fair result, it was deffo a penalty, although the keeper should not have been sent off, yellow was the right decision there.

Now that it's no secret now that I am Chairman of a newly formed Under 18's Girls team, Mole Valley Chix, the reason I can't make the first half of Tuesday night matches is that we train the girls Tuesday evenings and Sunday afternoons before the start of our playing season, hence my absence

 

Scottish blood, (of which I have none), nor stingyness has no element in the equation.

A Chairman taking training, maybe Jack & Ray Collins could do that at Dorking, can't be any worse than what I have heard it is at the moment.

 

You say that you can't make the first half of games on a Tuesday, so do you train the girls on Saturdays as well as it seems you don't get to the Bookham games until again for the second half.
