Why the long ball?

Recommended Posts

During pre-season and during our 1st couple of league games, we were passing the ball about with confidence and ease, so why have the team suddenly started hoofing the ball up the park like a Saturday morning league team? hoping that 1 of our strikers will get behind the opposing defence and pick the ball up. The players suddenly look like they dont know what they are supposed to be doing and look very short of confidence. The last 2 performances have been awful and unless things improve, we will be in for a long, hard season. I hope Liam has the answers.

We only looked anywhere near scoring and playing along the ground was in the last few minutes when Liam Coleman came on and ran at their defence.

Nade looks completly disinterested, and not up to this standard of football.

Eribenne, I've had doubts about right from the start,I don't see him as the goal scorer we were hoping for.

What's the solution?

The only one open to L.D. is a loan player who at least can hit the target,we do make chances, but the spirit of the side goes down at every miss. I'll be at Weymouth and hope for a better performance, and at least a point!

A few substitute appearances and a start that only lasted 45 minutes (was he injured? This seemed the only sensible explanation for his withdrawal with the score at 0-0) are hardly a fair crack of the whip.

I think we will avoid relegation and be mid table, because LD gets them working hard in most games and we are difficult to beat

We have no goal scorer and now have the dodgy keeper back so it will be a difficult season

Always optimistic me...the glass is always half full....always look on the bright side of life a ?

You ought to get out more mate.....otherwise people may think that you are just a sad miserable old w*nker ? but we know that you are not really......

Have a good weekend....

Pre-season and 1st games - great looking football, realy thought the team should go places. Now looks like panic from 'on high', liking the long ball and changing the side accordingly. New late replacements, relegating those that were moving the ball to other places. Let the players, especially the midfield, play the game they were doing so well!
