If he did alright in The Essex Senior League, he should do alright in the SSML. The standard is generally higher in the ESL - controversial comment maybe but I believe that is true at the moment.

Well Blues06, they have a far bigger and better pool of players to call upon in the ESL, simply due to geography. Results in the recent Cup matches between SSML and ESL appear to have satisfied the direct comparison as well. Tell me why you think the opposite.

Wader - having played most of my career in the ssml and the few games i played in the ESl i have to say that i think the standard in the ssml is higher.

One thing the ESL does has is better forum banter, loads flying around.

i just think that the overall standard is a lot better in the sml, last year royston and harringay were whipping boys, this year every game is a hard game in my opinion, if u look at the likes of Welwyn Garden near the bottom!! The top teams in the esl are very good, ur concords, enfields etc but the lower end of the table have a lot of awful sides there!

Just my opinion tho!!

The pool of players is far better for the majority of ESL teams than it is for SSML teams.
