For those of us unable to get to the game, could someone give a quick summary of what happened? I know that we won 3-1 and that Sammy scored a good goal, but who were the other scorers?

Tony Boot scored first . Lob from Sammy to Tony on edge of box, Tony Lobbed the Keeper.

 

Sammy missed good chance one on one with goalkeeper, other players inside but was definitely a shooting chance. Might have got a bobble, but put it wide by 2 -3 yards from 12.

 

Second goal Sammy cutting in from the byline far left (?) looked to have remembered that there were other players in the middle then scored from what looked like an impossible angle. I think the keeper commited himself for the cross and Sammy just tucked it inside the post.

 

 

Their goal the less said the better

 

Daly lucky not to be sent off tackle from behind on last man.

 

Third goal sammy ran hard at the defenders, cutting in to the box from the right and was given a penalty.Converted by Tony) Just what Wilko (Suspended) was telling me he should do at the time. I wasnt sure about the penalty, but there was absolutely no protest from the player, so looks like the ref got that one right.

 

Sammy was playing wide right midfield Hodge and Tony upfront. Though Hodge played far too deep most of the game.

 

Pitch was a shocker, team had injuries and suspensions. Not everyone played their best, but we took three points away from home on a cow patch.

 

What do we do on Tuesday?

Ryan did score the first and it was Tony Boot that was tripped for the penalty. Hertford have been putting up a good fight against most teams recently so it was a good result, especially considering how Slough have played on similar pitches this season. Mind you, it wasn't in Essex was it!

I didnt see the first goal was clesning my glasses at the far end but it was definitely Sammy who was fouled, and Tony who scored the penalty

Now maybe I'm going mad but I'm sure it was Tony Boot that was tripped. I've even checked with the missus and she thinks it was Tony Boot too! Can we have an independent arbiter!
