Kingsbury London Tigers v Bigg Utd/ Ampthill v Hod

Anybody know anything about the Bigg Utd v London Tigers game on Saturday other than Kingsbury won 3-2?? Bigg Utd appear to be starting to struggle after that great defeat of Harefield on the first day!! I was at Ampthill v Hoddesdon and it appears to be a shame that Ampthill arent playing the way they were last year.. They have a lovely ground deserving of the SML Prem and last year a team aswell.. But they look very average this season!

Yes, I was right back. Me and Toski both came off injured, need to get it checked out but I've re-injured my bad knee.

 

We didn't have any forwards on the bench as Andy Martin had already come on so Carlo was chucked up top for the last 20 mins or so.

Part Time - a crazy game to sum up, 5 stunning goals! Tigers 3 1 up at half time after storming to a 3-0 lead with a hatrick from a debutant. I notched with a screamer right foot volley early second half but we couldnt even improve. In my opinion we got what we deserved, some people playing just werent up to it.

Cheers Robbie.. Sounds like a good game for the nuetral! Whats happened then?? How come you have people playing that arent up to it still after starting so well and how come your not starting even though your scoring goals?? Do i sense trouble? i was speaking to somebody last wekk that was telling me what a good quality and large squad you had over there.. He said the manager was struggling to fit all the good players in to 1 squad and then you say now that there is people playing who arent up to it?

How do you rate Kingsbury? I expect them to improve on last season.

We have them in the Middx cup away later in the year, which is nice as its good to have a local derby with them, and the ground is within walking distance from me.

I was also at the Ampthill game and I thought that Ampthill played pretty well and were unlucky not to come out of the game with all 3 points. I also saw them against Stony Stratford and they were cruising at 4-1 with 20 mins to go then the game went crazy and Stony won 5-4. I think Ampthill will always score goals they just need to tighten up a bit. I expect them to still finish in the top 4.

Well done on your victory Robbie - could have been more but someone in the 9 shirt blasted high and wide when scoring looked easier :-)

 

I think you really have to thank the player in your team who wound up their 11 in the first half. What a plonker that kid is, their best natural player by a country mile but he can't help rising to the bait - when he didn't need to. Stupid yellow first half, stupider yellow (and obviously red) second half - and then managed to get himself booked again after he left the pitch for not going to the changing room and kicking a stray ball away. If I was their gaffer I would have gone absolutely mental at the little twat, he cost them the game in my opinion no doubt at all. They were on the ascendancy when he got sent off. It was funny because we had been talking about him early in the game and I said he's a lovely player to watch but seems a bit of a liability. He proved the point for me almost immediately by getting booked the first time.

 

Your 3 had a magnificent one touch to assist in your goal, and Robbie I swear at one point you deliberately trapped one of their players in your favourite spot dangerously close to that hedge!

 

Well done for the 3 points, but send a thank-you card to their best player and worst player number 11 (still can't believe his behaviour).

Not my best game in front of goal! They werent sitters by any stretch, still should have done better though. all said and done its a handy 3pts. I wouldnt say the game hinged on their number 11 being sent off, i didnt think they troubled the back 4 at all really. We said before the start of the game he would be sent off.....i can assure you their gaffer will have gone mental at him. I didnt know he got a third yellow, deserved it though, smashing the ball at an innocently parked car! I feel for the poor lad who took one of my crosses straight on the hooter from 2 yards. There is definitely something about me and that hedge area!!
