err...hello...we won and got three points.... grin

Of course you won (not disputing that) but you wasn't the better team on the day. If we had taken our chances we would have won comfortably because you didn't exactly pose much of a threat (except the goal which came from Lee Protheroe giving the ball away in our own half).

I saw it differently from a football perspective...your players are lightweight and flatter to deceive...we were much the stronger team on the day and fully deserved our win and our 3 points...I also thought that we had the better of the REAL chances and could have won by 2/3....

non football playing people watch football and think that square passing in possession is where it's at and represents good football and a talented team......it doesn't...we are a stronger better team than you because we work harder and don't believe in all the bollox that your players do...

we will not win the league but nor will your team if they carry on flapping around and rolling about like prima donnas...we sent a message out to everyone yesterday.....and you must now deal with it....you can be got at and beaten...

reputations mean fck all to us and the way that you deride us for our victory does your club litle credit...this is NL footie not the CL...

I havn't derided you for your victory, I just don't agree that you were the better team. Danny Gay's only real contribution to the match was collecting crosses (some very dangerous) and picking the ball out of the net for your only real chance. We however forced your keeper into some good saves as well as hitting the crossbar and missing two point blank free headers. Yes we had a lot of possesion which was sometimes crab like but as footballing people know, this often is necessary to break down (and wear down) two banks of 4 behind the ball.

Fair play on you victory, you played exactly as i would if i had been the Hornchurch manager but the simple truth is that we had chances which we should have converted, despite putting in by far our poorest performance of the season.

Also, we and the rest of the Ryman Prem already knew that we can be got at away from home which was a regular occurance last year and by the looks of things will continue this year. I agree, our midfield needs to toughen up (i was suprised that we went with both Noto and Minton yesterday) otherwise we will be relying on our home form to reach the play offs, the same as last year.

You can't play Minton and Noto in the midfield. Both are flair players and neither can tackle that well although Mario does put the work in.

Don't understand why you don't use Sedgemore more. I know he has had his injury problems but he is a class player who will put his foot on the ball and calm things down when needs be. He rarely gives the ball away and can tackle as well.

What's happened to Jason Hallett? Such a great talent but seems to have lost his way at Chelmo.

>>>Your above report bears no resemblense to the report printed and attributed to Craig Kemp.

Right - I think I have sussed it out. The NLP phoned me up on Thursday and asked if I could get them a ticket for a 'young person who is with them on work experience' - the name given to me was Craig Kemp.

I am guessing that he is the person who was near to Unc and who asked Unc what formation we were using.

I think Unc described him as an office clerk or something like that - next time they phone me, I somehow do not think I will be passing the message on the Jen.

Well done, Miss Marple applause

Hallett doesn't seem to have much luck with injuries. Got a bad knee injury last pre season.

A very good piece of detective work, if I may say so.

Crutches are very useful if you have a broken wrist, as when you lean on them you strengthen the wrist.

If you have a broken leg, they put your arm in a sling, as you have to walk on the leg without assistance, thereby strengthening the bone.
