Saturday 1 September Results

Recommended Posts

It was only 1-0 at half time. Then Turkey heard that England were 2-0 up in the other game and, realising that they needed to win by two goals more than England to win the tournament, it was like the Alamo in the second half. England only added one more in the second half of their game so Turkey won the tournament comfortably in the end. That said, the main England U17 team has been out in Korea at the U17 World Cup so the U17 team that played in this tournament didn't do too badly.

Gavin, you misunderstand me. These are results from only the SSML Premier Division, you obviously haven't played any this season, but the teams below you have and if you add there points tally from this season onto last season then they still wouldn't have caught you (your total from last season that is)

..

So where have you added this season? played 40 and 102pts is what we had last season.

I was busy yesterday, anyway I didn't even know that KattyAnn was associated with Barkingside.

OK, I get it now, so Harefield needed 5 more games to get within a point of us, and Hertford are still 9 behind us having played 4 more!

I wasn't there as I was at Lords watching a very tedious last day of the game v Notts enlivened only by Andrew Strauss taking a wicket. (I know rhodes, shocking isn't it, that I go to cricket rather than non-league football!)

MB100 can tell you more as I believe he was there but I think there may have been an issue with the playing surface.

Wasn't goingto say, as Rhodes would certainly make mischief over it, but the ref wouldn't start the game as he considered the pitch dangerous.

KattyAnn is away on holiday at the moment so no reason for you to be frightened of the place!

Hi, clip Rods. I would guess the second half will be starting at Potters Bar any minute now. If you hear the result before me, let me know - thanks.

By the way, ever hear the expression "a fool and his money are easily parted"? luckily for you, nobody took up your latest stupid bet!

So how come you weren't at a game tonight although I note that you coincidentally posted at half time so you could have easily still been at Parkfield on a computer or a laptop.

You can't have been as you posted at 8.46pm or was it a 6.30 kick off like in the Mickey Mouse Islington Midweek League over Market Road Astroturf for example.

Football Man - I've never said that I'm an anorak like you whereby I need my fix of football every single day of the week, even though I'm not physically at a game I'm still working behind the scenes on other related issues such as fundraising and the Academy. For your information I received a large cheque in the post only yesterday from our illustrious neighbours who we are working hand in hand with on Community projects in order to provide a vehicle for local youngsters to channel their energies and keep them off street corners.
