Re: FULL TIME: Hornchurch 1-0 Chelmsford City

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just got back...it was dreadful, lack of invention, haven't learnt a thing from last year, Their manager watched us at the Boreham wood game and obviously out witted our management beyond belief.

The goal came from more desire from the leyton transfer sub, and more comical defending.....

We just degraded to 'hoof' football against a really dreadful Hornchurch. Apparantly we have got some midfield players but were missing today.......This was three points given away and will really hurt later on in the season. If any one thinks we are, on current form Ryman Championship stuff, think again.....

The rose tint spec brigade will come out with, poor pitch, poor officials, ball wasn't round etc........

On the bright side and was truely fantastic, the Claret army massed and out sung, out bantered a small 150? Urchin crowd. Well done the fans you were fantastic Lets hope we can get some form back at MP on Monday and the fans turn up in force again...

seems as tho' there was 650 of them at the stadium today.... grin

They really are a bunch of numpties over at chelmo their bizarre crowd figures know almost no bounds such as a bank holiday crowd of 1,5and something they apprenatanly had over a thousand at new lodge haha numpties

As for their manager what do they expect as he is manager by the size of his wallet only but of course according to localfan ricay have large wage budget and nice Mr King puts no money whatsoever into chelmo

they were scattered all over the ground in the first half until they sussed out the local politics and then they congregated in the north eastside for the second half...no more that 200 and thats being generous...ricay had many more....

I felt that the majority of their fans were a little arrogant and came for an urchin whipping......

shame.... grin

playing one up front was a tactical mastersroke.chelmsford were better than us all over the pitch first half but half way through i sussed our tactics and when we came out second half we were more positive and got the result.A big effort from the gaffer who out psyched kingy although everything aside i still think that chelmo were by far the best side we have come up against.

goddard was immense.

crossy was 100% as he has been this season

dale pulled off some great handwork

jordan-quality

ooh ahh glozier quality

For me the defence were great but without our engine room in second half we could of folded.

Elliot was great as well.

Anyway, big shout to urchins past and present, especially those serving the red and white now and those who have served us in the past.

Possibly two of the greatest players to play for the chins

Johnny keeling, who is still a menace

and danny gay who is and always wil be wales number 1
