Tynan, Hawkins and Moore

Recommended Posts

Too much space in the middle, Stevenage had the run of the park at times, and Dobson and McMahon ruled down the flanks for 60 minutes. Disappointing performance by us, but as you say no shame in a 1-0 to a decent side.... and we could even have nicked a point if one of those three chances had gone in towards the end.

Gutsy performance by the lads. Scott Tynan was great. Luke Moore getting better all the time. I've a couple of concerns, one being, I wish they would play to the whistle and not stop when they think the opposing player is offside.

The other is Chukki. Long balls to him are a waste of time. He rarely wins the floated ball with his head. He appears not to follow the track of the ball as it's dropping, unlike Charlie Mac, although not of great height managed to get the ball on his chest by watching the flight on numorous occasions.

Any idea who is going to replace Macca in the middle for the next couple of games.

Slasher made have made a difference today had he been playing.

My whinge is over. Now looking forward to Tuesday.

Unfortunately, I think Stevenage were worth their 1-0 win on the day.

But, what really f*cks me off is all the moaning t*ssers that came to the fore today !! Yes, that really helps doesn't it...getting on the players backs. At least the moaning b*stards will have a good weekend now that we have lost ! A successful run must p*ss them off no end !! Bring back the death penalty ! &

let me be judge & jury !!!

Cheers,

Does Liam send anyone to watch the opposition prior to a game? Stevenage weren't unbeatable today, route one down the middle to Chukki didn't work, but our crosses from the wings and corners did. According to Radio Chas it was 11 corners to 1, in our favour. When we did get in the Stevenage area we looked as if we could score, but our defence was ripped to pieces by their speed, 3-5-2 didn't work.

Tuesday looks as if it could be 2-6-2 or even 2-1-5-2.

In truth, we were given a good lesson in how to keep posession, pass accurately, and run into the channels where full Backs ought to have been, but weren't.

Too often, especially in the 2nd half, we passed to a blue shirt when an easy pass to a teammate was the better option.

This was clearly a day when available players dictated the 3-5-2, and Satanage exploited the gaps behind our wing backs.

As a point of interest C.G. had everyone been available do you really think we would have played anything other than 3-5-2?

They were a pretty good team and will probably be challenging for promotion at the end of the season, we have probably been spoilt by watching the Fleet turn over some of the bigger clubs in the past but sometimes we probaby just have to accept the simple fact that they where too good for us. frown

Personally, thought Moore was one of the better players yesterday. He may not be an out-and-out goalscorer but he gives defences a problem. I'd try Nade instead of Chukki for a week or two.
