Agree on the talk about crowds usually but i posted to defend my club after posts knocking our away support which a lot of clubs (Conference National included) would kill for. The original reply to the post said only 100 City which simply wasn't the case.

I notice that the talk of crowds hasn't cropped up once on the Soapbox after Saturday's game but was brought up here by a Riccy fan so which are the fans always going on about crowds? I would like to point out that for a small town, i think Riccy's support both home and away is excellent and in terms of % of population is way better than what most Non League clubs acheive.

Both TC and Unc are, of course, correct is their assertions that it is points which win prizes. But think of this. Last weekend it would appear that the team from the county town lost twice: points and crowd. I think we should be concerned. Perhaps the rest of us should try to help. Maybe start a campaign? 'Become a Claret for a day' - that sort of thing? Looks like they need all the help they can get, on and off the pitch.

 

Nice to see Ricay and Urchins starting well - keep it going lads & lasses!

At least we show up.

Even had some BTFC fans down from Scotland.

So it can be done.

And we don't cause criminal damage when we visit other grounds. Your Mighty Clarets must be very proud.

But OURS show up as well BB - OK, not 800 admittedly, but quite a few all the same.
Some fans down from Scotland hey? - now there's an idea!

as for hornchurch struggling to make the play offs,i would suggest its chelmo who will struggle as their strike force was pretty poor on saturday.

Next you will say you have injuries,to which my reply will be,so do we and last seasons top scorer and also our club captain was out.

Chelmo were the better side but with the dosh at their disposal should be.But the fact of the matter is we took a chance and chelmo didn't and you can have as much of the ball as you like but if you don't put the ball in our net you ain't going to beat us.

Chelmo for ryman 1 north next season
