Billericay 4 Leyton 0

A very scrappy game against a very very average leyton side that posed no real threat. 3 well taken goals from BWG and a superb finish from flacky earnt us a good win. Leyton had a player sent off for abusive language (i think) and im sure everyone in the ground was left wondering how their keeper didnt get a red card after 'head locking' burbridge in the goal. No more injuries, no red cards and another WIN lets keet it up grin

Cmon you blues!!

Convincing performance for us, we hardly had to break sweat in the second half. Early goal for BWG and he and Flackie looked to be forming a good partnership... Flack scored the second with a curling finish to make it 2-0 ht. BWG got the third early 2nd half, then Billy had to go off. Looked like quite a bad cut, but Buckfield did what little he had to do. Their No11 got sent off for a 2nd yellow for dissent after that then we got the 4th when BWG poked home after Burbs' shot saved. In my opinion the ref was showing Leyton charity in not sending the keeper off; the lino saw him throw a punch, and told him so.

Leyton brought 0 fans, no wonder they're falling apart; nobody cares.

McMahon (Buckfield) McSweeney, Kerrigan, Heffer, Blewitt, Dormer, Abbott, Hunter, Woods-Garness, Flack (Burbridge), Hodges (Wareham)

SNU: Swaine, Semanshia

Frankly he shouldn't be not showing charity the rules are the rules irrelveant how [****!!****] one of the teams on the ptich are as that was pretty much thoroughly unprovoked assault in refereeing Sunday matches I have been asked for assistance in filing a police report for assault for less then that what that idiot of a keeper did

Firstly - Great team effort lads !

Yes, Bradley and Flackie will capture peoples thoughts with their goals, (and yes they were class) but without the other lads backing up this result could not happen. Leyton looked in disarray and we even scored 2 extra goals - Why did the ref not give us advantage on Hodges being fouled ! - Anyway, in my mind the most pleasing thing (apart from winning) smile is ANOTHER clean sheet.

Great effort lads ALL OF YA !

P.S. I knew not many teams would go to Hornchurch and get a result wink

But, like always another game coming up - so enjoy it now and back to work on Tuesday lads !

I didn't think it was a scrappy game at all. After the first 10 or 15 minutes we dominated the game to such an extent that had it been boxing (or wrestling?) it would have been stopped well before time.

Another clean sheet, Heffer and Blewitt were unemployed for much of the match and both our full-backs showed tremendous energy making loads of surging runs. Billy seemed to think that he would be fit for Tuesday although opinions did seem to differ slightly. It was a good situation to introduce Jack to league football and he kept a clean sheet too.

Our midfield did enough against this side but I did feel that a couple still havent quite hit top gear yet. Up front BWG and Flackie just have too much quality for teams of that standard and together with Boot you have to fancy them to get plenty over the course of the season.

Leyton were a poor side (apart from their skipper Alderton who looked ok) and that was exacerbated by a complete lack of discipline throughout from them. Their 11 having been only booked for calling the ref a fc**in cheat received his second yellow for dissent when he sarcastically applauded another decision. They have a tough season ahead of them.

All in all a fantastic start for us and onto a local derby on Tuesday against a Heybridge side that looks weaker than in previous years (That'll murray it!)

Well done lads...Keep it up...
