Can anyone help me settle a bet, please??

My brother works in Germany and during a discussion with his colleagues regarding bladed boots causing more injuries he mention some Alan Ball boots from the seventies called swivel boots, they had a circular plate with studs in a circular pattern that rotated. The more the beer flowed the more the bet increased, so please help him beat the Germans off the pitch if we can't do it on it.

 

Ive found this mention on the web, but ideally I need a decent photo or a chance to purchase a pair to achieve ultimate smugness.

I used to have a pair!

 

I'm not sure they were "Alan Ball" boots though.

 

His boots were white (and not very good!)

 

While they appeared to be a good idea, they were a bit wobbly and the circular plate had a tendency to get blocked up and refuse to move!
