Once again you come out with a 'U' in your reading comprehension, Rhodesy boy!

By the way, the SLB manager told me that the person you have 'a dorito' (a large chip) on your shoulder about, came across as a really nice person and very open to discussing the history of the club etc.

I wish I could pass the same compliments about you but, alas, the reasons that are blatantly obvious to everyone except you, I am unable to do so!

Do you happen to know why my ears were burning up on Wednesday evening whilst I was at Hoddesdon, I know one of their floodlight pylons caught fire however this was well after the game had been abandoned whilst, incidentally, we were eating sausages and roast potatoes in their boardroom. It sounds like your Manager was reeled in by 'Sugar' hook line and sinker, obviously he is going to come across as a really nice person to everyone who doesn't know him particularly as he's a Solicitor so knows how to spin a yarn.

Yes but according to Gavin you have a 2k a week budget so surely you can afford it!

No, he has it all wrong. It is £4,500 a week plus a couple of grand to the management. I know because I go to the cash point at Lloyds TSB in Biggleswade High Street with my wide boy suit on and a placcy TK Max carrier bag to get the cash out every Thursday lunchtime. Of course that doesn't include bonus payments and the like. Sometimes I have to take 2 placcy bags!

If only we had a team who would play for nothing at all, sigh. I wouldn't then have the embarrassment of having to carry a TK Max placcy bag around.

Did you know that the Marks and Sparks carrier bag I had with me at Second Meadow was crammed with ten pound notes. Seriously though is your weekly budget really 2k a month, Gavin's comments seemed to hit a raw nerve and even Uncle Urchin entered the fray which is very rare.

Raw nerve? No, let him and others think what they want.

I don't see how it affects him anyway as his club are racing ahead near the top of Isth1N and will soon be leaving little insignificant clubs like ours well behind. Good luck to them.

why bother, if all they get is abuse ?

its retrospective dykie...lay on the beano and the abuse disappears...I must confess that I never go into boardrooms due mainly to the crispy tuna sandwiches...

I think his heart is in the right place but he just gets a bit carried away at times, I'm sure he's harmless.

Thespursfan - If you're still undecided about where to go today why not come to Amersham Town v Kentish Town, I'll introduce you to 'the great one' as I did NeutralFan, Jonno and Tourboy on Wednesday at Hoddesdon, they haven't washed their right hands since and have been added to his long list of disciples.

If you can find a copy of the Non League paper tomorrow and turn to page two you might find out.
