Poor game between two sides who on this showing will struggle this season.

 

We started well and took a deserved lead after 20 minutes but that was as good as it got. Another defensive lapse gifted Brimsdown an equaliser three minutes later and the vistors who looked a bit disjointed before that gained in confidence.

 

Second half it was really a matter of when not if they scored the winner as we lost all semblance of shape the longer the game went on. It was just a surprise it took them until stoppage time to score the winner.

 

Not good for us and the crowd (42) was not good either. Could be a long season at Grosvenor Vale. When's the new secretary arriving?

Didn't have the chance to speak to Mr Barrett today, although I did spot him chatting away happily to last years secretary during the first half.

Rhodes Aka Cliff, you never have anything nice to say about brimsdown, Why? is it because you wish you was involved in a proper club instead of being involved at Kentish Town who are Sunday league outfit trying to find a home in a real level of football, knowone care's about Kentish Town, what have they done in the last 3 years? just an award for a standard match day programme,WOW! if your club spent more time trying to get better players instead of being a one man team all hopes on Lee Scott an average forward to say the least and wasting time on a match day programmes that will never get you promoted or any championship, that is why your former captain Daniel Young is seen in one of these photos playing for Brimsdown Rovers.

 

So any danger of you saying well done to brimsdown for beating Ruislip Manor? i guess not!

 

I have been reading a lot of the threads and Cliff you are really bitter! why? i actually feel sorry for you! Brimsdown battered you last year twice! i repeat twice! 5 - 0 and 5 -1 all you could get is a lucky and i mean a lucky draw, but still you have to make an excuses and live off a draw, You talk about that Boateng guy like you know him! and state that other people over rate him, but if he was your manager and won all the things that he had won with brimsdown at Kentish, i beat you will be calling him the special one and top manager etc. Making bets about the poor guy. I know this is a fans forum, but Rhodes or Cliff who ever you are, get a life please! as your taking this forum way too serious!

Sorry Aladdin old chap, but beating us at the moment is not really much of an achievement.

September will be much better (can't really get much worse)

Aladdin - Thanks for this rant, obviously you needed to get it off your chest. Were you the guy I met at Hoddesdon on Wednesday as I got the impression you were a bit distant compared to when I've chatted to you previously at Goldsdown Road, if so then it's you who is taking the Forum far too seriously. I have nothing against Brimsdown Rovers and am more than happy to say well done to you for beating Ruislip Manor on Monday however lets see how you do tomorrow at Holmer Green first before we go overboard with the praise. I appreciate that I might have ruffled one or two feathers with my comments about Boateng but at the end of the day he did leave when 'a better offer' came along, giving the Club minimal notice to prepare for the new season without him hence your shaky start.

Tubbsy8 - It was Aladdin who revisited the issue on this thread as it was all forgotten as far as I was concerned, like you say if Gordon wanted to take the risk and leave the comfort zone of Goldsdown Road, where he was pulling up trees, for Harlow Town then that was entirely up to him however going by Harlow's results so far this season it has backfired on him dramatically.
