SOrry about comentary probs again - completely outside of our control. Goals:

51 mins first half - Charlie Sides chips keeper after taking ball from right.

28 mins second half Pinns drive - keeper got a hand to it but couldn't keep it out.

Final score 2-0 to the Blues.

Taffy A phoned again. Said Gaaaaaaate were good value for the points. Horsham restricted to long distance pots.

thought performance today was good from all with Jay standing out at the back in particular ,always Mr reliable , bit unsure of last sub John Ikinde big bloke should use his size as an advantage but seems to step back and watch the ball , he needs to get in there and challenge more but he`s only 18 i think so he`s got plenty of time to work on his game . Overall happy with result though . UP the Gate.

Excellent all round performance.Hard one for M.O.T.M I reckon.

For me,just shading things were Jay at the back & Dean Standen(yes, you heard me correctly).

Jay was "class" at the back & Dean hustled all day, laid on the first goal & was involved in a spectacular passing movement for the second.Kept his cool too,no rash tackles of note which improved his game I thought, but still got stuck in nevertheless.

No-one can be faulted today as it was a very professional all round team performance. If I was to give points per player I would give them all 8 out of 10 with the two I pointed out a big 9 each.As a team performance that gets a mighty 10. Good to see the "consistency" factor kicking in.

If you were one of those who couldn't make it today I strongly advise you try & get there next Saturday v Tonbridge. Hopefully the run can continue then.

Well done the 'Gate.

No goals conceded-thats much better.

What was the team today, and maybe someone could post how secure the defence looked-obviously by Cookie's post Jay was good ,but what about the rest of the back four.

Get the defence right and organised, and we could reach the play-offs

The only real complaint that I could find is that it must have been a frustrating day for Pinns and Side up front as the service wasn't suited to their heights. If Rob had been fit and there to play off of then I think we could have had even more.

Having said that, both goals were quality. Charlies first touch and clinical finish for his strike was superb and the build up play for Pinns and his finish was as good.

Did not think much of Horsham for a side that had won 3 out of 3 other than the fact that a few of their players were good at getting themselves into acres of space, particularly out wide. Fortunately the delivery to them wasn't much cop!
