Bigg T 1 - 3 Hares

Recommended Posts

Just got home. No point coming on here trying to defend the indefensible. We were crap!

It makes you wonder sometimes which players really want it enough. Several gems for us out there and our first team keeper out injured, but generally it was not good enough and i'm going to hit a nice fresh litre of scotch I've just bought. The Mrs is away for the second weekend running (with work) and i have really, really got the raving hump.

And I've got the bleedin' kit to wash!

Rome wasn't built in a day Wader. Enjoy the scotch - I'm totally dumbfounded by our result too, so might do the same!

Rhodes will be on here soon, when The X Factor has done and he's had time to pop down Bruce Grove to the internet cafe!

I bet Johnny Batch wasn't taking defeat on the chin either. I like him very much and can only wish him well.

Yeah, reckon so. I left twenty mins after match finished so didnt see him but was told he would be.

The Non League Paper wanted to interview him but I was tole he only talks to media after a win (sorry Coup)

I have seen him in foul moods after we have lost - you avoid him like the plague lol. Nice bloke though - very down to earth.

Yes sorry I'm so late on folks but I was watching the ExtraFactor, does anyone else think that Fearne Cotton is a bit of a sort.
Hopefully today was just a wake up call for Biggleswade Town, I think all the talk about them having the league wrapped up by February might have gone to their heads.

Who said that then?

Well done on your win today Cec, you and the lads must be chuffed. Was Mr Dowsett involved at all or is he still out of favour?

I wasn't there but doubt he played, I think he was on the bench again.

...

May I ask why you left 20 mins before the end of your game today Paula? dont tell me it was because you were losing?

Oh sorry Paula, I miss read it, must be as I have had a few sherberts to celebrate being joint top and recording the biggest win in the league to date.

Must be funny for you I would guess, reading all my posts last season regarding Edgware, a team you dont know anything about, and I would not blame you for thinking we were two bob, even though we won EVERYTHING last season, you prob thought well its only the SSML, mickey mouse league, but tonight we proudly sit above clubs like Dartford / Enfield Town / AFC Sudbury, BIG clubs at this level, and of course above Canvey Island.

As I said, this may well be the best it gets, we may fall away and never again be joint top this season, if so then fair enough, no one expected us to be up there anyway, after all I predicted we go down or fight relegation, and who knows we may yet do so.

I am just very proud of my club tonight, after all the crap in the summer the squad have stayed togetehr and play as one.

Just one thing though, Richard Morton 40 goals last season...he has yet to play this season!!!!!

Gavin, I have NEVER thought 'its only SSML'. I remember watching Canvey in Ryman Div 2 years ago.

I feel I know more about the SSML than the ESL now lol.

I personally don't think there is a lot of difference in the standard of footie in say the Unibond Prem, SSML Prem and BG Prem to the Ryman div 1 and indeed some of them are just as good as our teams (a local team for me to watch out for is Concord Rangers). Most of the differences are either geographical or in the standard of backing/funding that the clubs get and of course the size of the fan base.

I would NEVER under estimate any team or division that may be a step/s lower than what we play at.

Oh and for the record I am ALWAYS proud to say I SUPPORT CANVEY ISLAND FC regardless of where we are in the league table.
