We was mugged!

 

Game of few chances, mostly to Hertford until 83 minutes, when Ryan Redford finally put us 1-0 up. Minute later Kevin Cooper misses an easy chance to make it 2-0. Never mind, one will be enough.

 

With only a few minutes to hold on to this lead, Nicky Marsh dived in to trip a Beaconsfield player in the box - pen! Stuart Swift just managed to squeeze his spot kick under Mark Virgo's dive - 1-1. Ah well, never mind, a draw is perhaps a fair result.

 

Then, with 90+4 on the clock, SYCOB's No. 7 Oliver Godwin lets fly with an unstoppable 25 yarder which gives Virgo even less chance than the imfamous Baron Charlery "wondergoal" from last season. Perhaps the least effective player on the field for 94 minutes, where did that come form?

Was at this game and I agree with Horace.

 

How Beaconsfield SYCOB won this game when the baulk of the possession was with Hertford Town I'll never know.

To add insult to injury the Beaconsfield manager was letting rip at his players on the pitch after the game !

Yes, heard him - couldn't believe that! How did that no. 7 conjure up that strike? Ref and linos all agreed that you didn't have a prayer saving it.

Beaconsfield SYCOB never looked like getting a point never mind all three when they fell behind.

There's always a slight delay (plus human reaction time) on digital cameras. Tha ball had already dropped a bit when the shutter opened.

It was a great goal...but you give anyone time and space to hit one...they will!...I didnt get anywhere near it and was a little unsighted too...I was actually waving at you in the stand Horace !
