Gate 303

Town started carefully with Simon Tickner heading past his own post for safety. Sudbury had a shot over the bar. David Bastian made a lovely block. Charlie Hasler jumped to catch a bouncing ball which went over his head and past the post phew close! Charlie Hasler finger tips the ball over his bar. Ozie Foster clearing well in defence. Sudbury had a one on one with Hasler saved. Charlie punched clear a shot. Charlie saved. David Bastian tackling back well. Ozie Foster breaking out well. Sudbury hit the bar. Tickner tackling back well. It was 32 minutes into the game before Jamie Nay had a solo run that’s more like it. Thank you Jamie.

Second half town came out more positively. Ozie Foster made a great little run and crossed the ball for Bryan to narrowly miss redirecting the cross into the net. Jamie Nay tried a Velandia style shot from distance that had the keeper well beaten but unfortunately not the post. Jamie Nay makes a lovely cross for Paul Campbell to narrowly miss. Charlie saves. Ricci Crace down in the penalty box Town scream for a penalty nothing given. Bastian has a shot saved. David Allen has a shot. Sudbury hit the bar. Campbell shoots over. David Allen on for Ozie Foster. David Allen crosses beautifully but no one was there. Nyman on for Campbell. Velandia on for Stephens. In the 82nd minute Sudbury get a free kick on the edge of the box and plant it round the wall in the top far corner inch perfect with no chance for Hasler. James Dickie headed wide. Bryan Hammatt had a header saved. Town effectively woke from their sunshine slumbers now but it was too late really and Sudbury resorted as we would in their situation to time wasting tactics.

Whats up with Dave Allen. Two games running he's threatened to 'punch the face in' of a fellow player on the pitch. Its unacceptable.Crace was on the receiving end this time.

The usual strange choice of line-up and Subs. How the hell was Edmunds not put on? It indicated Jim was happy with a draw.First half was lethargic and ponderous by Town.perked up second half, but it was still the sort of performance we have consistantly seen from Town in big games at Brimsdown through the years..Ie.. we should win and are more than capable of doing so,but we end up losing because of tactics and application.Reminded me of a your typical home play-off performance.

Steve Velandia was a chosen regular last season but his form this season has deserted him. I agree with him being sub at best at the moment.

I've always adored David Allen as a person but feel his attitude has let him down on more than one occasion.

Both were subs today after being regular in the starting 11. Not going to be easy to please all 26 first team players at the same time.
