Contributions To The Playing Budget

Personally, I think its something that could work in the future if the club was more stable. I think people would have issues given money to the club baring in mind what has happened in the past, especially if the club became solely dependant on supporters contributions.

Also would the supporters be willing to contribute to players who they feel may not be giving their all on the pitch? And as such not getting value for money.

At the end of the day there should be enough sponsorship from external sources coming in to aid to the budget.

I would like to think the new committee setup can help bridge this gap and provide the evidence that the money is going as where it is promised. If I wasn't confident this could be done, I wouldn't have considered putting the question out.

It would certainly be interesting to see what sort of response other clubs got to this, particularly if they were struggling at the foot of the table. Will see if I can find out.

In order to do this we would need a lot more help from STFC Supporters getting their companies involved. I don't think we've had much in the way of response from pleas put on here before for sponsors. Whilst we're about to get underway with the marketing campaign (albeit a bit later than planned) I'm not sure this will bring in the sort of sponsorship required to run a club at this level.

Some supporters already give regular contributions to Roger for Barmy Army sponsorship. Isn't that, in effect, the same thing?

If it is the same, or at least very similar, perhaps more people could make occaisional donations via Roger. Or am I talking complete [****!!****]?

Have just been on Companies House web site and some other sites that comfirm that FRUS has been disolved (no longer in existance) as a company and its two Directors were Martyn Wagstaff Deaner & Jonathan Arthur Freese, Jonathan Freese was the only shareholder of this company.

Thames Valley Sports & Leisure Limited has two Directors Roy & Bernard and each has an equal shareholding - however this company has always been dormant and has never traded! It has failed to submitt it accounts that were due on 30-04-2007.

This information is publically available as I have just proved.

So the question still remains - who own Slough Town FC?
