Not being a fan of athletic track grounds, but i have to say the tannoy was loud and clear, as it was the last time we visited ! Hornchurch...Youre going to have a giggle when you go to the other athletics stadium Oh and remember to be quiet - They dont like to annoy the neighbours

I hate athletic track grounds but at least Hornchurch does have an atmosphere which is not present at the other place.

Nice clubhouse and facilities in general, but it really is a pain watching at athletics grounds.

 

Call me fickle, but I think if my team played at one, I'd probably end up not bothering. Too hard to see what's going on properly. I do appreciate that not every team is lucky enough to have the choice though.

 

And yeah, the atmos was good.

Nice to hear enthusiasm from the announcer too, even when it's for the opposition scorers or substitutions.

i love watching footy at the bridge.It would be nice if the track wasn't there as we could make the eastside bigger but its used for local sports and schools,at least there are good views from all around the ground and even though there is no stands either end of the pitch it still feels quite enclosed rather than some athletics stadiums that feel open and wild

Considering how much i hate watching games at athletics tracks ground, i enjoyed my first visit to Hornchurch. Nice facilities, and good atmosphere from both sets of fans.

 

Was the attendance really 1030? Seemed like less than that to me, although it is more difficult to judge, as there is noone behind the goals.

yeah it was 1030!

 

none behind the goals, well i guess thats because no one ever stands there and because the space hasnt been filled yet.

However with a team like AFC Wimbledon, who will bring lots of support im sure people will stand there soon!!

the attendance looked about 1000-1100 so i guess it was right.It seemed about the same amount of people in the ground as when we played welling in the cup last season.
