>>>Are you talking about the booking a couple of mintues after McSweeney booking? Becuase if you are then it was Blewitt and he did hand ball it.

Yes, that's the one. At the time I thought it should have been a red card as Kris Lee was clear.

The first booking was certainly enjoyed by the home crowd.

Our away crowd thought it wa just amazing how he got booked for tieing his shoelaces up infront of the ball yet the person who done that tackle on Gameo wasn't show a yellow but then again that's what happens when you get **** refs in the ryman league which is mostly all of the time lol.

It was an innocuous challenge on gameo he was just unlucky to break his leg.You could tell it wasn't a bad chalenge by the ricay fans response it was more just two players going in wholehearted.

The ricay fans made more of a noise over a couple of other challenges that were just late

Here's what happened.

Billericay player was tieing up his bootlaces.

Referee had already awarded a free kick for one of the many fouls conceded by the visitors as they struggled to stay in the match.

Billericay player looks up, moves approx three foot sideways so that he is now right in front of the ball, thereby preventing the kick from being taken - in itself a bookable offence.

Billericay player told by referee to move.

Billericay player has back to ball and does not hear.

Dave Lee takes kick and ball hits Billericay player - this causes great joy and hilarity among the 1002 home supporters (this also explains the quoted gate of 1002 in another thread - actual gate was 1030, including Garry Hill).

Referee does not see anything remotely joyful or hilarious, and correctly waves a yellow card at the Billericay player.

East Side chant - get into them - f*** em up.

A HFC sponsor joins in, but mimes the words.

Dave Lee takes free kick, but ball slightly too high and drifts out of play.

Macca is a member of a little known and mysterious religious sect, Dexterus Tergum . What you interpreted as him tying his shoelaces was, in fact, him carrying out the practice of Mortification, the offering up of pain or discomfort to his deity, Gafferus. This is achieved by the tightening of a soft woolen cord, called a "tabernus ligamen", that runs under the arch and over the bridge of the right foot. He had to move 3 feet as he realised the alignment between himself & the Holy Place of Novus Aedes (the place where an image of Gafferus once appeared in a match day programme) was not quite correct.

His right to do this during a match is covered by Isthmian Regulations in what has become known as "The Womble Paradox"; the rule that says you can change the rules as you go along, including "The Womble Paradox", which would mean that you can't change the rules...etc...etc...

In my opinion he had his Human Rights infringed last night and we should be awarded all 3 points. Oh, wait a minute, we've already got them.
