Edgware followed up Saturdays win at Potters Bar with another 2-1 victory this time against a strong Wingate & Finchley side!

The Wares are now 4th and just 1 of 4 sides left with a 100% record!

Could we be one of the 100%ers??? Yes I think we are. We stuffed Potters Bar 3-0. A very agressive game. Loads of cards given out (7 or 8 in total).

We were dominant throughout!

Well done to Canvey, bit of a supprise Brentwood being up there as I did not think much of them last season when we beat them in the Vase, however they did win the ESL.

 

Have their brought new players? Enfield and Canvey up there is no supprise, but I think you would have to say Edgware is as after all the turmoil of the summer to be 4th with maxium points after two games is just superb.

 

Of course it IS only two games, but I feel we will more then hold our own. Richard Morton our 40 goal man from last season is still injured and so is our captain Rory Smith, so some real muscle to come back into the side, though the new boys are doing well and the playes from last season are looking more then up to the task.

I reckon we could finnish top ten, now we are staying at the WLG, but who know's a bit of luck and we could do even better!

At worse mid table, I have no dobut we can more then hold our own in this league.

YEP only TWO players have left the whole squad.

 

Chris Ingrham has been signed from Oxhey Jets and played at centre back, Dennis Marharjan returns to the club after two years out through injury.

 

Apart from that the same squad, Richard Morton our 40 goal man last season has been sidlined through injury so we have him to go back as well as Rory Smith who is the club captain, and one or two others.

 

As you can see we have a STRONG squad. I think if Edgware do well in the Ryman league it reflects well on the Spartan league having come from there.

I know! three trophies last season, top 4 after 2 games, I smell the glory and I follow it LOL

 

The fishy smell was from one of the houses behind the goal, I think it was smoked salmon!

Excellent start, I will have to check out the CCL table, I see that Wembley beat Haringey in the cup replay, they are at to ware now.

Merstham started as Favourites. Cove have spent big this year and they are well fancied as well. Think it could be a good open league this year.
