I went into the clubshop at HT to get a drink and the guy behind the till said that when Gameo got injured there was a crack of some sort and he said that it could have been his shin? But what ever it is i hope he recovers quick because our squads getting smaller and smaller by the game.

i spoke to one of your fans at half time for a few mins and he went over to see him and thought he would be worse than what he was,he said he didn't seem in too much pain

Good game I thought, first half was typical derby stuff with plenty of commitment from both sides. Thought until Game went off it had been pretty even, but we lost a little poise after that and AFCH really should have taken the lead when Kris Lee screwed his shot wide.

 

2nd half I thought we were the better side, belter from Hodges to give us the lead, then an injury time second from Dave Wareham who raced clear on the counter with AFCH pushing forwards. AFCH looked vulnerable to pace, BWG and Flackie both had good games for us.

Your defence was a little dis-organised in the Ist half,but were solid in the 2nd.

Yup another good performance by the team against a much better oposition than on saturday - no disrespect to hastings. The front two worked their socks off and the back four were (reasonably) solid despite a few lapses that luckily came to nothing. Two stunning individual efforts won the game for us. And can i add ... THE OFFICIALS WERE APPAULING! and not for the first time.

Doesn't matter if we win ugly or not. Three more points in the bag, two more goals on the board and still none against...points and goal difference is what we want...Well done to everyone.

Apart from a 15/20 minute spell just before half time, in which Hornchurch could've been 2 up, we pretty much controlled the game. Don't remember McMahon having a shot to save in the second 45. Garry Cross was the player that cleaned Gamo out, not a word or caution. Dave McSweeney ties his shoelace up and the ref can't get his notebook out quick enough! Go figure. Two quality strikes for the goals, and I have to say that this was an IMMENSE result.

No problem that the standard of the officials hasn't changed this year Gazza - lots of penalties on the cards for the Clarets then!.

Very good performance, a tough challenge which we came through well. Good to see another lee hodges special for the first goal, and Warehams was a fine strike too.

 

5 goalscorers in 2 games is a good sign.

 

Good travelling contingent and good atmosphere last night. Only downside was Game, obviously, i wish him a speedy recovery.
