I see the level of refereeing in the ryman premier is just as bad as ryman one north and the ESL.

Not taking anything away from billericay who scored two blinders and sprayed ball after ball into our box second half using the wind to their advantage but some of the decisions in the second half were beyond belief.Most were just silly decisions like giving throw ins the wrong way but decisions a referee should be able to make.

I thought we started slowly and billericay looked in control for the first 15-20 minutes but we came into the game after that and missed 2 glorious chances to go in up at the break.Second half was a different affair and billericay were well on top,we seemed to be hitting a brick wall up front second half and in the end ricay deserved the victory although i think 2-0 was slightly flattering as the second was on the break and a bit of a scorcher.

A good work out for the lads though and it shows we will be up there at the end of the season if we can cut out little mistakes.

Saying that i would of liked to see the game played without the wind and rain as i think it would of been a tad closer as they clearly had the height advantage on us.All in all well done to them down the road and unlucky urchins but we will get stronger as the season goes on and our new players adapt more to the rest of the team.

Good crowd of 1030 though and plenty of noise from both sets of fans,although we were missing a few of the regulars on the eastside today due to holidays!!!

On the balance of play they edged it,and i thought we very poor 2nd half.

The ref missed Simon Parker being dragged back when through on goal which would have resulted in their centre half being dismissed.

I was fuming about that decision,it was a blatent pull back.

Also i didn't like seeing one of our players diving first half but i won't name them.saying that ricay done it once early on to win a penalty although ours was in our own half it is still the same

i have to agree, the ref was very poor!

other than that i think we played well in the first half, not sure what to say about the second half really.

But its only the second game of the season and as a team they will learn from their mistakes and get better as the season goes on!

didn't see it that way.I thought they went in 100% and it just seemed a bit unlucky but i didn't have the best of views as some little oik was standing in front of me on the fence.Most people o spoke to at half time said it looked pretty inoccuous

Looked pretty fair to me. Didn't look as horrible as Brother's lunge on Saturday.

Thought we played quite well . After 15 mins of Ricay first half pressure, played ourselves into the game and unlucky not to go in at least one up at half time.

 

Matt Game situation did not look like a "straight red" to me, clumsy challenge in slippy conditions no malice.

 

Started slow again second half. Let (Lee Hodges?) have too much space to run and shoot for first goal.

Hodges later in match gave one of the best theatrical reactions to a challenge and exchanged banter with the Eastside.

 

Ricays second was a quality breakaway goal for which he only had so much space because we were pressing forward.

 

All in all not a bad performance against a team who are one of the favourites for the league and last season play off semi-finalists.

 

After Saturday and three matches against a cross-section of Premier teams,will get a better idea of where we stand.

 

Need to lie down now in a dark room with a beer... this match analysis caper does your head in!

There is not a player in the world who does not try it on from time to time, As wrong as it is it's a fact of the game. And as long as we have cr@p officals (at this level) it's going to continue.

it was a 50/50 ball, both players went in hard , but unfortunately your player got hurt, best wishes to him...
