These are the profiles for the players whilst the site is updated. (Tom, please feel free to use these for the basis for the website profiles.)

Manager: Darron Wilkinson

Long serving Rebels stalwart who has now focused his attention to off field activities at the club. Wilko’s first season of management was blighted by off-field issues, but has now been given a firm footing with which to prove his considerable managerial talent.

Player / Asst. Manager: Nick Roddis

Joined up with former team mate Darron Wilkinson following time spent together at Hayes in 2001. Nick was previously with St. Albans and experienced Conference National football last season in a playing and coaching capacity.

First Team Coach: Mark Betts

Mark joined the coaching staff to assist Darron Wilkinson in his first managerial post. Has worked with the keepers in his time with the club. Has extensive experience of junior coaching and is a real asset to the side.

Physio: Kevin McGoldrick

‘Super Kev’ is part of the club as much as any person can be. Approaching fifteen years as the clubs physio, Kevin has seen all the highs and lows and feels them not only as physio, but as a Slough supporter also. Highly regarded by the players, management and supporters of the club alike.

Goalkeepers:

Jamie Jackson

Signed following a successful loan spell from Southern Premier side Hemel Hempstead Town early in 2007. Local lad whose desire to play for Slough shines through. Competent keeper who has experience in Ryman and Southern League football.

Matt Pollard

Keeper who made appearances for Slough in the 2006/7 season. Has proven ability at this level and has featured in a number of pre-season outings for the Rebels where he impressed the management.

Aaron France

Keeper signed on dual registration with Conference South side Lewes following the two first team keepers being unavailable for selection. Made a solid debut against Taunton Town.

Defenders:

Rav Braich

Depenadable full back who is fully committed in each match. Quick with the ball and eager to get forwards. Seems to cover every blade of grass.

Adrian Browne

Defender who returns to the club following spells at Hayes and Staines. Broke through the youth and reserve team ranks and was captain of the reserve side which lifted the Capital League Doxhill Cup. Strong, dominating centre back.

Iain Duncan

Experienced full back signed from Hendon in 2006. Missed most of the 2006/7 season through injury but has remained with the club over the summer and is a vital piece of the back line.

Mark Hokan

Young full back signed from local rivals Burnham. Pacy full back who likes to attack down the right hand side.

Leon Woodruffe

Returned in the summer of 2007 for his second spell at the club. Leon is capable of playing higher up the pitch and is very capable on the ball.

Steve Daly

Experienced captain of the side. Is approaching 350 appearance for Slough since joining in February 1998 from Ryman Premier side Boreham Wood. Steve’s leadership will be invaluable in a young back line.

Dean Harper

Talented centre half signed from Hanwell Town in the summer of 2007 when he followed midfielder Christian Metcalfe to the club. Bright prospect for the future.

Midfielders:

Christian Metcalfe

Experienced midfielder now in his third spell with the club. Struggled with injuries for much of last season whilst at Southern League side Hanwell Town. Plays a simple game and is often pulling all the strings from a controlling central midfield role.

Danny Jefferies

Energetic midfielder who plays in wide midfield. Capable of playing on either wing and causing opposition full backs problems.

George Moleski

Hard working tenacious ball winning midfielder. George never shirks a challenge and is always found urging his side on. Capable of scoring spectacular goals as proven with a strike against Margate last season which was goal of the season runner up.

Lucas Bizon

Polish midfielder who was recommended to the club and made an immediate impact. Lucas has a real appetite for the game and his enthusiasm is behind his work rate both on and off the ball.

Mark Bartley

Versatile, pacy player who has filled into a number of positions throughout the starting line up throughout the last season. ‘Barts’ is a striker by trade and chipped in with useful goals last season.

Clement James

Pacy wide player making his return to Slough following a spell which saw the midfielder make forty one appearances with five goals to his name. Has since enjoyed a spell at Ryman League side Staines Town and returns to the club after a five year absence.

Strikers:

Terry Davies

Diminutive, tricky striker who is also comfortable playing from a deeper position on the wing. Has a great engine and eye for goal, having top scored for the side in the pre-season campaign.

Matt Miller

Striker in his second spell at the club following leaving Ryman Premier side Wealdstone. Had a successful spell with Yeading before joining Slough initially, but struggled to settle into the side. Returned following spells with Burnham and Wealdstone and is a firm fans favourite. Top scorer for the 2006/7 season.

Lee Charles

Signed in the summer of 2007. Experienced striker who has had spells with St. Albans, Weymouth and Windsor amongst others. Tricky on the ball and capable of holding up the ball to build attacks.

Glenn Faircluth

Young pacy forward signed from Egham Town during the summer of 2007. Made his Rebels debut in the seasons opener against Taunton Town.

Deaner and Mills were late registrations, and as a result I forgot them! The above (Aaron France and CJ excepted) were sent over to Thatcham last Wednesday, which is before the registrations for Andy and Jon were sent in.

They are very much part of the squad and will have profiles done for the Paulton match on Monday.
