The Taunton Lads and few other meanderings

Thought Mets had a good game, but cannot play him and Roddis together, put George back in the middle.....but then who on the right wing??! AAAAHhhhhhhh

Where are the young Right footers? Could we get Glenn Johnson on loan?

Thought Duncan did alright as well.

The Taunton lads were class. Stood next to them, had a laugh with them. The only people they showed any anger towards was their own defenders! Thought some of our fans were getting a tad narked, could be wrong. Funny bunch of lads, who had a more enjoyable day than us! Shook our hands after and wished us well for the rest of the season.

Ok we were not brilliant, but new team , new surroundings, but you lot know the score money wise etc. People on here moaning already. What were you expecting? A Manchester City like ressurgence?!! Signings the like of Sol Campbell and Mark Viduka?!

Thought we did ok against an established team at this level(so they had some changes, but they're not as untried as us), and I'm not as worried as I was last week. Mid table mediocrity would be effing grand!!!

daviD on cover of programme?! Who next? Ray Darvell?

For all of those who knock my lucky hat, especially Warren(!), I took it off for the second half, and look what happened!!!!!!!!

It's back on for the full 90 on Tuesday!!

What alot of people do not know, is that I only wash the hat when we win a game, and it is starting to pong!

Poor thing is starting to fall apart a bit as well.

Me thinks Sue should be selling these great hats and all supporters should wear them!

My lucky hat on the programme?! As long As my ugly boat aint on it as well!

I thought the Taunton lot were very good humoured. I didn't notice anyone getting narked and thought the back and forth was all in good humour. It was nice to see a set of fans take it and dish it out in good measure and I thought their comeback to civil partnership quip was very funny. Don't suppose there will be too many other games with an atmosphere like that this season.

Guest OSGOOD ISGOOD

I have to confess I was getting a tad peeved at their fans, but only once they started chanting derogatory remarks about Slough. I may have moved 400 miles away, and I may slag the place off myself (and often do) but I still get the hump when other people attack my birthplace (pathetic I know, but you can take the boy out of Slough, but you can't... etc etc etc).

However when I realised that they probably didn't own a razor blade amongst them I managed to laugh it off, and in fairness they did support their team, and did so a bloody long way from home so hats off to em (though not yours Doctor!!)
