Tring Athletic 2 Ruislip Manor 1

Recommended Posts

First of all a big thank you to Tring Army for picking me up from the station and saving me a walk.

I think he would agree that Tring will play better this season and lose. They are a good side but were maybe a little off par today. Manor played well but once again lacked a cutting edge upfront. We gifted Tring the opener following a poor back pass then they scored a well crafted second before the interval.

We had more of the play but couldn't find a way through a well organised defence until the 90th minute. If we had scored 10 or 15 minutes earlier it might have been interesting but Tring held on.

Not sure....looks that way though it is the same player. Stangely when he scored in the 90th minute he didn't rush to get the ball out of the net like he did at your place when the Sway's 90th minute penalty pulled it back to 6-2!

So Hertford have Tring in the next round of the FA Cup. I see that Tring are much improved from last season. They have a nice set up there, so good luck to them. As for the match, should be a close affair.

How are Hertford looking this season? I am supprised that WGC have made such a poor start to the season, I had them down as one of teams to be right up there.

Chalfont St Peter are going to the be there or there abouts, they looked pretty decent last season, supprised with Harefields early form as well.

Who do you think will be the teams that will compete for the league title?

Its kind of strange having to learn about a whole new set of teams this season. Actually this is the 3rd season in a row that Edgware have been in a different league

05/06 Ryman 2

06/07 SSML PREM

07/08 Ryman Div 1 North

At least its not boring playing the same sides and you get to visit more new grounds.

No problem at all Lato - try & find a copy of today's Daily Express - page 65 has an article about the match

I read the article in a newsagents on the way home. Good publicity for Tring and the league.
