That would be the ideal scenario Michael but unfortunately there would be the whole costly process of obtaining planning permission for it.
If everyone can club together the e-bay grandstand is up again and with no bids so far there may be able to be a deal struck!
Ebay Grandstand
Then we would just have to wait until 2010-11 season to iron out all the problems that the council can find with us erecting it!

The club have planning permission for erection of a stand there valid for 5 years,so temporary stands/shelters should be a variation only and got through under delegated powers in a matter of 2/3 of weeks only.

Paying for it is a different issue of course, but as many of us have posted under various themes in the last few months, some respect for the supporters needs to be shown

It all seems to be geared up for the club officials and the players - there are no "improvements" at all for us mere supporters. First they need a few more bar staff and second they can let us sit at the tables rather than the players - aren't we the ones that pay their wages? Memorabilia and some more colour on the walls too please MFC! Agree with MF - the whole social experience pre and post match has been diminished. KP was frantically plate clearing before we were all kicked out for the wedding reception! Come on MFC your supporters have kept you going through thick and thin - don't abandon us now or you will regret it.

During the evening I was in the British Legion and someone who attended the wedding reception staged at the clubhouse on Saturday made a comment about the charges for the drinks. She was very surprised how expensive it was compared to when she went to a do last year.

The club must be careful not to shoot themselves in the foot............again

I'm sure the club will react positively to the various comments.

In fairness, you don't always get things right first time around.

What will be interesting is if they 'admit' errors-nothing wrong in doing that- and advise of changes being made, or just do the changes.

It needs to be the former as a few probably will never venture again, unless 'notified' of the postive 'adjustments' that will i am sure be forthcoming over the coming weeks.

Someone may also be interested in posting on the Chelmsford forum what they thought of facilities and servive.

You are likely to get a totally unbiased view from there.

Did they suffer the same difficulties and thus the club ultimately lower revenue takings.

Is it not normal to seek out feedback so that constant improvements are made ?

The theme of the feedback is that the club will ultimately lose revenue if improvements are not made.

MFC is a business.

The business supports the football side of things.

The business needs its customers

Seems to me, people are only trying to help

I too was in the bar and gave up trying to be served. Also hated the layout of the tables. I noticed when our players came in they wondered where those fans were who like to chat to them, as I know they like to know what us fans thought of game. I doubt anything will be changed but just wanted to express my dismay too.

Rather than all of us moaning on the Forum, which probably won't be read by the club anyway, could MISA make an official approach to the club on our behalf. We all agree that the club has been done out well, but at the end of the day it is a crucial part of revenue for the club which it can't afford to get wrong.
