Dont forget, Luke Coleman is only on loan to you - not surprised to hear he did well today though - According to our message board previously, he had been looked at by both Chelsea and Liverpool(I think) for his performances in our Youth Team.

Akinde is also highly thought of at Ebbsfleet - the lack of strength is something that will improve over time - theres a big difference between playing U19 Youth games and playing against big strong experienced defenders at 1st team level & it takes time to adjust.

Tough game today, well done to your lads you made it hard for us and we escaped with a draw which I believe we barely deserved, but was more than happy to accept at the end. But a points a point so it's a major improvement on last seasons two results against you. But what a cracker of a goal from our young Ricky.

Agree but what a gift from Bagley, still he took the goal well, shame we hit the post so many times.

Am glad this is my 4000 post as I thought the lads performed superbly against, imo, a good Chelmsford side. I agree that Bagley made a poor defensive error but to be fair to the lad a great strike by Ricky Holmes. He actually made a few nice passes when he first came on as he was in front of us but hopefully this sort of thing will help him to learn tactical stuff more.

Agree re Howarth (but I am biased as sponsoring him). Skins and Jimmy were superb again on left, how that shot from him didnt go in as it hit inside of the post. Harte also played great as did Young & Trotty at heart of defence. Longer game went on McKimm and Standen controlled midfield I thought. Pinns one of his quieter games but we all know what a trier he is. Coleman will be a great addition if we hold on to him. The joy on his face when he scored was brilliant to see. Scott also played his usual game too and made a few fine saves.

On that sort of performance if the crowds dont come back I dont know what Trotty and team can do more to persuade them. Well done lads.

Rather bemused by Jeff King's selections. Holmes is their best player - why put him on the bench? If he and Kezie Ibe had started I think Chelmsford would have won.

As for our own substitutions - Pinno was looking a bit tired so bringing on Side (a facsimile for him) seemed sensible.

I was disappointed to see Coleman go off. However, it just proves the manager can't win - if he doesn't bring on youngsters like Bagley he is accused of using them as bench fodder.

I think just about everything has been said about our teams fine performance. Everybody played their socks off, imo. Rob for me was totally outstanding, chased everything that a lot of players would have given up on. Just summing it up - for me, well I just thoroughly enjoyed it.
