I thought your crowd of 64 at Potters Bar Town was disappointing but a good win all the same. Dartford's crowd was 947 against Maldon Town where Maldon equalised with virtually the last kick of the game, do you know if away Club's take a cut of the gate as it could be a nice little earner for you when you go there as well as Canvey Island.

...

No dobut a large number of Canvey went to Northwood on opening day. Its a shame Edgawre's home match with Canvey is midweek thus denying the club of a bigger crowd that a saturday fixture would have brought.

Dartford are going to be the best supported team in the league by a long way, then prob Canvey/Enfield Town / AFC Sudbury

At the other end of the scale, Potters Bar/ Tilbury/Ilford/ Wingate and prob ourselves will be the least supported, but I think Edgware will get better crowds then those. 64 is crap for opening day, and most of those were Edgware fans.

Obvioulsy Potters Bar are still getting the kind of gates they did in the Spartan league!

Where is that Potters Bar bloke from last season, I think he was a player and his screename was potters bar, is he still there?

No but unfortunately he is still on here, 'the artist' formerly known as Potters Bar Town is now Football Man.

Gav, crowd was 152. Would say over 100 of us travelled up. We arrived just before 2pm having left home at 12.30. Coach left at 11.30 and arrived 2.30 having travelled the wrong way around the M25. Shame it was late as the lads would have put at least an extra £500 over the bar.

Very nice friendly club.

Funny, on the way down and home (we went a different way home)I see all the town signs for the teams in the SSML which previously I had never heard of. smile

Tony Burke scored for v&e!

RobbieO scored a belter to equalise and then had a sublime chip that hit the bar, he was there only real threat up front, played fantastic! Think he'l agree we had the better chances to win it tho!

Makes for an interesting replay tuesday night!

Yes HTFCew, we have kept most of the same squad and added a few promising younger players, the manager thinks we can make a challenge on the Division Two title, but I think we are looking more at a top 6 place. The main problem being with no promotion then its going to be hard to overtake the top 2-3 clubs, however should the likes of AFC Dunstable gone up and been replaced by Cranfield United then I think a shot at the title may have been on.

I am hopeful of cup success though, we have a semi final coming up in the Anagrams Record Trophy that was held over from last season and its about time we had success in the Divisional Cup and the County Cup.

Cheers blues - it wasnt a bad strike i have to agree. Gutted about the chip.......you could have won it at the end, a pretty even game in my opinion. Loads of handbags!!!!! You wore No 10 right?

I thought you had a decent game Blues, knocked the ball about well. Your strikers let you down on the day, but hey thats football. Dont let it get to you Saf. Have you scored yet this season? Our pitch isnt that bad!!!

Your optimism is well founded! You ground out an away draw, now you have home advantage. I make you guys favourites, the first goal will be massive!! I thought saf caused a few problems at the back, i have to return the compliment mate, great feet! I love playing at your ground though.....i ALWAYS score!!
