Still no news on what happened to Lee Charles?

 

The team announcer said he was playing so can we assume he was expected to turn up but didn't?

Lee Charles friend was burgled and he was with them which caused the delay. It was expected he would be there for kick off and it was agreed with the referee to allow the switch of Faircluth and Charles if Charles was not at the ground for 2.55pm.

 

Whilst the change was notified to the referee, it did not make it through to the boardroom, hence the mistake in line up.

Oh and right wing could be Danny Jeffreys or Moleski has slotted in there for a number of pre-season matches. I think CJ on the left, Moleski on the right with an attacking trio of Davies behind Charles and Miller/Faircluth will be good.

I finally managed to get myself to my first Slough game in absolutely ages, and thought we played pretty ok and probably deserved at least a point.

 

First half was a bit poor, felt Taunton edged it, but could argue that we were unlucky to go in 1 down. Bit of a clumsy challenge for the penalty, even if I didn't think so at the time!

 

Second half was markably improved, a lot better play, even tho the conditions weren't great. Great finish for the goal and unlucky not to get another. The less said about their winner the better, but things like that happen.

 

All in all an encouraging performance, and hopefully I can make it to a lot more games this season.

hay i would like to say that the game on saturday was a fairly good game got a winner late on but we really should of been to or 3 up at half time !! thats football 4 u

 

i through your lot goal was really well taken and finshing at its best woudnt of happend thanks to the deffence playin a game on the edge of 18 i was always tought if in doubit give it a clought take it our defence never heard of that well thats taunton 4 you !!!!
