Ashford - directions

It's just off the A30. Come off M25 at Junc 13 (Staines) and follow A30 towards London. Short Lane is a road turning left off the dual carraigeway, it is sign posted but very easy to miss. If you miss it, it gets complicated as you do then come to a roundabout but coming back on the other side of the A30 there is no right turn shocked

Ground is on the right along Short Lane and there is loads of (free) parking in an adjacent playing field. Decent view of nearby Heathrow traffic if you are a plane spotter!

i went past it the other day,the best way would be to go round the m25 to the A30junction 13.Follow the A30 for about 4 miles towards London and short lane is on the left hand side, the first road after Ashford cemetary.

That is the best way to go but obviously traffic can be hit or miss on the M25

ok but the embankment is chocka block with roadworks at the moment.took me 3 hours to get to heathrow that way.

But for anyonee who wants to go that way follow embankment through london, chelsea etc etc.follow it past earls court then jump on the a4/then onto the m4 to the A312,join the a312 for about 2 miles until you reach some traffic lights with the junction of thee A30 turn right and followw all the way down until you get to a roundabout with a petrol station, turn right staying on the A30 and the ground is on your right ( not sure if you can turn into short lane from that side of the dual carriageway,if not go past and turn round somewhere!

job done

>>I just wouldn't entertain the thought of going through london unless you have sat nav

Sat Navs are very good - apart from when it took me into someone's front garden at Wivenhoe last season, and into a sugar beet factory at Bury St Edmunds.

Main problem with sat nav is that sometimes the club's own official web site gets their post code wrong, so the sat nav wrong.
