Heybridge

Despite recent results & a lack of confidence and support I feel we will turn it around at Heybridge.

We beat them convincingly at home and they are near the bottom of the league. Despite our away form I think we will win 2-0.

Lets hope for another performance away like the one at Chesham and GET BEHIND THE TEAM.

Any other predictions?

There is no excuse for us selling our best players, particularly one who has been so loyal to the club.

If we needed to reduce the wage bill we should have got rid of players like Dean Morris, rather than someone who actually plays in the team.

I know Moore would have higher wages, but we would have been better off getting rid of say Morris and Savidge rather than Moore even though we have got a small squad.

Good luck to him, Hornchurch have got themselves a good player.

Unfortunatley if we are going to get rid of players we have to get rid of players that people want. No offence to Nick Savidge or Dean Morris, but it is no doubt far easier to get rid of someone of Moore's ability.

However, it is a very sad day that it has come to this. I don't think he will be the last either. Is this the beginning of the end for BTFC? I feel that there is some gross incompetancy at the top that we have got ourselves into this position! Questions need to be asked. I wonder what the story is now?

Another bites the dust... Richard Graham will have signed for Cambridge City by tomorrow... Someone has messed up big time somewhere at the start of the season, if all of a sudden we cant afford to pay the wages.

We might have to take our boots tomorrow !!

is that right you only have two directors left at your club? have a lot left recently? maybe they were putting dosh in and its all dried up now, hence unloading key players, must be very upsetting for you regular supporters , have a good day out saturday.

Clearly something is going very wrong.

For the poor results clearly the players and the managers ie Borg and Calder have to take rsponsibility.

However the Chaiman is totalling responsible for the financial mess the club is now in. Seems to me too much time, money and effort has been put into the new stadium - something which the majority of blues supporters and basildon residents do not want.

Calder and Co have turned us into team which lacks passion and are boring to watch leads to reduced crowds less revenue = going bankrupt.

Rod Moore has turned off alot of supporters by attempting to locate to Basildon leads to reduced crowds less revenue = going bankrupt.

We had better hope for a white knight as this club appears to be going down the toilet.

A very angry and depressed supporter

And you can't say anything to Rod Moore without getting a barrage of abuse back if it's not the same opinion as him.

We're doomed, Mr Calder, doomed!

Tomorrow will be very interesting.

I think you’ll find Chris Moore wasn’t pushed, rather has chosen to walk out on The Town to join the big spenders of Hornchurch. He was non-contract, so who could stop him. The Urchins have money to burn at the moment splashing out what is believed to be something in the region of 12 grand on Vinnie John from Storts.

A Sad, Sad day for the Town, but I'm sure Mooro had his reason for leaving New Lodge. And don't forget he's walked once before.

Confirming the news from earlier about Chris Morre and then Richard Graham, there may be a third as Paul fewings is talking to Chesham. From tonight's Evening Echo :-

Soccer: Stalwart Moore quits New Lodge

Billericay Town face all kinds of problems as they approach tomorrow's Essex derby at Heybridge Swifts.

The club's longest serving player, defender and former skipper Chris Moore, who had made over 300 appearances, has left to join the Division One North promotion battle with big-spending Hornchurch.

Town boss Gary Calder warned fans prior to last Saturday's home Premier clash with Kingstonian that the club would not be able to sustain the wage bill required until the end of the season and that there would be some player movement.

Three contract players --Paul Fewings and Mark and Richard Graham-- have been transfer-listed this week but it is non-contracted Moore who went first.

Said Calder: "Chris Moore has been a magnificent servant to the club for many seasons. We've parted on the best of terms and wish him every success for the future."

Calder admitted last night that striker Fewings, having talks with former club Chesham, and Richard Graham, currently discussing his future with Dr Martens League Cambridge City, could also be gone before Saturday's match.

Calder admits that he will try to quickly make additions to the squad with players who will not be making such an impact on the wage bill.

Heybridge go into the match on a high. They gained a splendid goalless draw at title hopefuls Hendon last week and improved their hopes of beating relegation with success over Braintree in midweek.

why oh why wasnt one of our best players on a contract as he was played every week so their was little point in him not having a contract

ahh well lest hope like when he went to canvey he will come back but i doubt he would want to come back here

if fewings is highly paid he should be let go as he dosent play veyr week

richie grhama shouldnt be allowed to leave as he and his brother are the only players we have got who rare creative
